No AC anywhere in the building seals it for me right off the bat. Not like it is on the beach or water.Couple that with sullen service at the bar, mushy octopus and you have a no return type place. There are now three Frenchys we don’t like and two that we do. Not a wide beer selection here either. If you like to sweat while you eat this may be the place for you. Not for me.14 Aug, 2014Are You A Hooker?. After three hurricanes. ;0)14 Aug, 2014Hurricane. Ceviche with tiny tiny shrimp and no scallops RIP OFF. 2 months into their opening, with a group of people, I ordered the ceviche. Ceviche is a cold lime marinated seafood cocktail with shrimp, scallops, and fish as described on their menu The small amount of seafood had the tiniest salad shrimp (200 count) and fish. No scallops! I called over the waitress and then the manager was summoned. She argued that there were scallops and did not even comment on the tiny shrimp. I was RIPPED OFF. I can see from the other comments that they don’t give a rat’s ass about their food or their customer service.
Check your credit card statement!!! They charged a different amount than what was on the credit card slip. It wasn’t much but that is beside the point and I don’t think a three can be mistaken for a seven. Also the food wasn’t good.
Waste of money. It was a fun atmosphere but the good was not good at all. The grouper was cold and mushy. The ribs were tough and over cooked. (Not cold but not very warm). The mixed drinks were very weak and my wife thought it was a alcohol free version but apparently it was not. On the up side the beer was cold. If you want to sit and drink beer, it could be a fun place. It does appear to get the beach crowd from the causeway so it can get a little loud and crowded.Overall I will not return.
Great atmosphere!! Good food! I would go back for sure! I definitely recommend the pulled pork nachos they were delicious! I got the half order of ribs as a meal and it was sooo good I ate the whole thing! But as a warning DO NOT order the fire island chicken sandwich! It was horrible the chicken was chewy with some gross sauce thrown on top the chicken. That was my only complaint everything else was fabulous! Especially the frozen drinks
At The Junction of the Beach and The Weekend!. How has it been that I have bypassed this electric yet sunbathed ‘Outpost’ for so long? Suffice it to say that this report will be truncated so as to allow me to more formidably opine on the delight that is this location. Yet on a sunny Friday afternoon there I sat, amongst the throng before the barkeep as it allowed the only seats available without a wait…..a sure sign of lunch-time hunger, easy proximity to the Dunedin Causeway, and the most difficult of all – The goods!A quick yet scrumptious Grilled Mahi-Mahi Sandwich came adorned with just the right amount of accessories along with a ubiquitous ‘plastic’ of cole slaw.Give them their transgression on the cole slaw, all else was welcomed was just what the good Dr. Watson ordered. Next time we partake I will sure expand my girth and enjoy the rest of the expansive menu!A Definite Stopover on your way to/fro the Dunedin Causeway…..DELIGHTFUL! thesherlockholmesreviews.com
Great lunch. The Frenchy’s version of this restaurant is way better than the original. The staff was very friendly and efficient. Had the beer battered grouper sandwich with fries that was excellent! Will definitely return.
