I have family that lives in Dunedin. We are here frequently. Home Plate is always a stop of ours for breakfast. The food is excellent. The server’s are good if you get some of the ones that have been there a long time. The newer ones have some people skills to learn…….I would recommend any of the benedicts, very good. The oatmeal is awesome, loaded with nuts and fruits.
Awesome food, Great service. Had lunch here this past weekend with a couple of friends. The corned beef reuben was to die for! My friends ordered breakfast plates and absolutely demolished them as well. Our server Abigail was excellent, very friendly and on top of things, making sure we had everything we needed and we never had to ask for anything. Overall it was a great experience, great food, reasonable prices, awesome service and an enticing atmosphere. This is a must try for diner fanatics and home cooked family food. We enjoyed every aspect of our meal, and already have plans to return next time we are in town.
My favorite breakfast place. It doesn’t look like much on the outside, kind of bland family restaurant style, but the food is really special. They usually have some special french toast with fresh fruit of the season. The Lobster Benedict is packed with big chunks of lobster, and has an excellent Hollandaise sauce. One of their recent specials was bruschetta with brie, fresh basil leaf and strawberries – yum!
First time here and the Eggs benedict were prepared perfectly. Home fries were nice with green pepper and onion added. The ice tea is freshly brewed. Will back. better than Lennys
Off the Trail. My wife and I just happened on to Home Plate off the Pinellas Trail. What a great place super service and great food. I had the Lobster Benedict and a Mimosa. My wife had the Strawberry pancakes and something the server called a Kiss. Well worth the trip!
