DONT ORDER THE SMOKED PLATTERS. If you go to this place DO NOT ORDER THE SMOKED MEATS AND SAY ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I ordered the smoked chicken platter for $8.95 and all I tasted was wood. Not too mention the beans were canned and cold. The coleslaw was on the old side. When asked about how I liked the food I stated the chicken was over smoked, the beans were cold and the coleslaw just was not my type. I got sarcasm instead of any type of apology. The service was good but I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. If the owner cant own up too bad food then I shutter to think what quality the fresh food is. Also they use the microwave on the grouper to finish cooking it. Diner BEWARE
I like the nice neighborhood feel, relaxed and casual atmosphere. Great place to grab a drink and pub type meal. Try the BLT, you won’t be disappointed (but make sure to ask for mayo)! Try the tiger sauce too – on anything!
Over priced for one chicken tender for 6.25… tell the owner and doesn’t care…spend over 40 bucks and complain and get told it u not the food…
When I’m away at school I daydream about spending a few hours at honeymoon and then having a beer and burger at Sandbar. Everything is so cheap and it’s nice to sit at a table on the deck in your swim suit. This is one of the best burgers that I’ve had, and I haven’t ordered anything else because I crave that treat. I have heard good things about their veggie burger as well.
Cold beer cheap!. We just stopped by for a few beers…We ended up having 5 Amberbocks on draft and an order of fries to munch on.. Total was 11.13 before tip…I can’t remember going out for a few beers and having the bill ring up under $20 This is a great place to stop off and have a few beers at on your way back from a day at Honeymoon Island…
Neat place. Cold beer and good steak sandwiches. You have to order the seafood soup here. It’s great on a cold night. Overlook that there isn’t a seating hostess when you walk in and accept the restaurant for what it is.
