I’m really starting to love this place. Just discovered it last week and been here 2 times already! Guest and I have had sweet potato hash breakfast, banana peanut butter french toast, breakfast burrito, and the tempeh Ruben wrap. All wonderful! They also serve Jims organic coffee, smoothies, and kombucha amongst a variety of other things. I’m pretty sure I’ll be becoming a regular soon 🙂
Everyone knows that healthy costs more. With that in mind, the prices are very reasonable. The recipes/food is delicious! So far I have tried the rice and beans dish and the pancakes (you wouldn’t know they are gluten free) and a delicious brownie. This is my new favorite restaurant in this area!
Stay open for crying out loud!!
Sweet and attentive service. Have eaten at Serendipity twice this week – banana French toast for breakfast and turkey meatloaf for dinner – both meals were very good! The main thing for me is that each dish was delicious and satisfying – the extra added bonus is that my food was gluten-free and dairy-free. Really appreciate having a truly healthy dining choice available in the area.
Disappointed. I have been to this cafe several times for lunch and the food- service has always been good. Today, I wanted to have breakfast and was very disappointed w the visit, service wait times . We arrived before 1030am, we finally got our food at 1155… The outdoor patio sits 5 small tables . Indoors are a few tables and counter space- quant really.. The problem was service and no real check in about the wait- moreover a rather snarky remark to another customer about the cook leaving bc if a car- towing issue . Later stating everything is under control, no offers of refill get you a muffin or another smoothie while u wait… The food was ok . Very very small portions, yet tasty. Smoothies are always excellent. At the time of our check , the waitress expressed dissatisfaction w being yelled at.. By ??? Staff? Yet, expressed gratitude with our patience. Next time, I will engage w the service- owner earlier about what the wait time is, if I ever return..
Has potenial but ran poorly. I’m local to Dunedin and downtown Dunedin is the perfect spot for a health cafe. So me and my friends (with our young children) decided to go check it out. There isn’t much to choose from but I ordered cookies for the kids and an order of kale chips and my friends ordered a smoothie. So we were sitting for an hour and I still didn’t get my kale chips. Our kids were getting restless so we decided we would just get them to go since it was taking so long. So I went up to the cashier and asked to take my order to go and no one knew what was going on. Finally the cook told the cashier that he burnt my kale chips and they ran out of kale to make more. #1 someone should have told me that instead of making us wait there for no reason #2 ran out of kale? at 11am? this is a health cafe that mainly serves lunch! And to top it off they lost my friends receipt to check her out. All she ordered was a smoothie. So with that said, this place has potential to be successful but it’s just ran very poorly. I wont ever go back there and I don’t see it being there for very long
