Such a cute and romantic place. What will bring us back is the delicious food–particularly that Maryland crab. Dare I say the best seafood to have ever touched my lips?

Great for Special Occasions. We have been coming here for a few years. We usually come 2-3 times a year and every time it has been great. My wife always gets the filet and says it is the best she’s ever had. My favorite is the twice cooked duckling. It is out of this world if you like duck. Their salad and appetizers are also excellent. Definitely on the pricey side, but it is well worth it. Try it and make reservations

Great food, Good Service. We really enjoyed our visit to the Black Pearl. We made most of our selections off the week’s specials and they were all quite amazing. As someone who doesn’t eat meat I also was very pleased with the vegetarian selection and loved the creativity the chef has brought to the meatless entrees. I hope they keep the Portabella Wellington, even if you are a carnivore you should give it a try, it is an amazingly tasty and hearty dish. If I could suggest anything for improvement it would be for an increased drink selection (iced tea and sangria could go a long way), and as others have mentioned the decor in the dining room is a little dated. They don’t seem to have problems filling seats though so maybe if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Black Pearl is a real jewel. Our party of four were celebrating a birthday so we decided to splurge for the occasion. The restaurant is small, quiet and intimate. Candles, white linen tablecloths, red roses on the table created an elegant ambiance. The waiters provided impeccable service and of course, most importantly, the food was exceptional. We each had different entrees and appetizers and everyone was delighted with the taste and presentation of the food. Entree prices ranged from $25 to $32 . They serve wine only by the bottle and selections ranged in price. We were never rushed and were truly pampered by our server. We look forward to visiting the Black Pearl again soon.

Great Surpirse. I took mom for mother’s day today to the BP. What a fantastic restaurant. Yes, it is quiet and what a nice break from all of these noisy, tinny restaurants where you cannot even hear yourself think. It was intimate and a full house and all were enjoying themselves. The food was truly outstanding as was the service. Very pricey but you did get what you paid for. There was not a single flaw in our meals. I will return there. Only thing I did not like was the somewhat loud MUZAC of modern easy listening tunes–would have been better with softer, instrumental or Tony Bennet type sounds.

Date night only.. Everything was flawless but I definitely would not have the same kind of experience on a ‘girls night out’. Incredible food and service- but the atmosphere is that of a very very quiet library. I whispered and tried to hold in any laughter until I walked out the door. Even still, it is what it is & I had a lovely time. Best if saved for a romantic occasion.

Very Impressive. We have driven by this restaurant for years and have never dropped in. I’m so glad that we finally did. It has just a few tables and is a very cozy, romantic venue. The service was impeccable and we felt comfortable instantly. For appetizers we had to try the special pork belly offering and the crab imperial. Pork belly is rarely seen in restaurants and this one was close to perfection…great texture and flavor. Crab imperial has a different interpretation wherever you go. This one was wonderful. It was not soupy or over-cooked. For entrees we had the rack of lamb and their special etouffee. The lamb was perfectly medium rare (as I had asked) and was quite a large portion with a delicious demi-glaze and a heap of mashed potatoes and green beans. The special etouffee had beef tenderloin, lots of lump crab meat, corn bread, chicken and andouille sausage in a wonderful Cajun sauce. It was awesome! Here’s hoping that the etouffee gets added to the regular menu. We both had the lemon pavlova for dessert. It was huge! After a bit of port, we made our way home promising to come back very soon!
