This Place is Way Overrated!. They have a few fun and tasty items and the atmosphere is ok but overall this place is way overrated! The BBQ sauce is piss poor and runny.Portions are WEAK!Service is meh.WAY OVER PRICED!!!!!Imitation Smokehouse at best. The little shack around the corner across from the cyclery makes these guys look amateurish and greedy.

Not bad, but things are slipping. We live in Dunedin and go to the Smokehouse semi-regularly. Maybe the last year or so we’ve seen changes in the food and changes in the menu; sometimes good, sometimes not so good. The fried green tomatoes are quartered and breaded instead of sliced (see pic). This traps a lot of oil in the tomatoes and also made them tough and unpleasant. They would be much better traditionally sliced and let properly drain.I like that they are trying new things, even if they don’t always work out, but staples are falling off too. We ordered sandwiches that have been on the menu since we can remember; one was dry with noticably less meat than usual and one was soggy with no flavor on a stale roll. Also we got dirty plates with our apps & didn’t really see our server till after our main course was almost done. Not that we would have sent anything back but would have liked to have been asked why we didn’t eat the tomatoes.Sometimes something made well is much more impressive than made different for the sake of being different. When it’s good it’s good, but gonna have to give it a break for a while. hopefully the owners will give the food a taste and try to bring the flavor and the quality back to what it was before.

One of our favorite places. Good service, good food, dog friendly. Great!

Okay BBQ, solid sides and an enormous tap list…. We arrived for a Sunday lunch and the place was busy but we were seated promptly. The staff seemed very friendly and the place was clean. We ordered a BBQ sampler platter with pulled pork, cajun sausage and brisket. We paired them with the smoked gouda mac n’ cheese and fries. As for the BBQ it was a mixed bag. The pulled pork was honestly a bit dry and not very flavorful. The sausages were okay. The brisket was actually the standout on our tray which is unusual as briskets are widely considered the toughest cut to master. Overall I’d say the meats were decent. The house sauces were available on the table and both were solid. The fresh made fries and gouda mac n’ cheese were both excellent. The price point was acceptable given the ingredients and portion sizes. If you enjoy a cold beer (and who doesnt?) this place has a large tap list of premium macro and local micro type brews. I liked it and will do it again…

Dunedin smokehouse. Went to Dunedin Art Show , stopped in for a beer….it smelled so good…we ate there….wow great food…..and good service in a packed house. Will be back.(I do think there should l be more then one bathroom per gender…in this size restaurant)….otherwise a great place. Try the Mac and cheese, brisket, fried green tomatoes…and onion rings yumm

Great Barbecue!. The Smokehouse was crowded for lunch, but service didn’t suffer. Morgan took very good care of us. You should try their signature sandwich, the Montreal Beef Sandwich. It’s like a Rachel, with corned beef and their own apple slaw with dark deli mustard. The beef brisket is also excellent, smoky-tasting with a tangy barbecue sauce available at the table. And how many places offer fried green tomatoes as a side… for a small up-charge? I usually have to order those as a separate appetizer. Potato salad is a very personal thing, and theirs is good, but it’s a little yellow for my taste. All-in-all, we had a very good meal here at the Smokehouse.
