Perhaps the Best Cuban I have ever had!. 2010-05-13We being from GA. didn’t realize this WONDERFUL place closed at 2:30 pm Mon-Fri. So we happen to arrive to the restaurant at 4:00 pm, when William and Ramona where on the final steps of finishing cleaning the restaurant and then go home.After they learned we came from out of town and we really wanted to try cuban they asked that we sit while they looked in the kitchen. A couple of minutes later William and Ramona come out with 4 plates(2 ropa viejas & 2 Lechon dishes) which were outstanding, the flavor was out of this world. the portion sizes were huge and the service was outstanding! the food just kept coming! Here is what took the cake for us! at the end of our meal when we paid for our meal every one had eaten and drank under $10 USD as we were leaving Ramona said she had a treat for us, She goes out back and brings us each a small cup of cuban coffee which was outstanding! I havent slept for two days since! Just Kidding!I had read not to be turned off by the locale because of the humble look of it. (Hole in the Wall type) and they were right. William & Ramona are outstanding host and are so warm and welcoming that any time we come to Tampa we will come and visit el Paraiso Cafe.
