Ok so we were in Melbourne and had worked up an appetite at the flea market and found this gem of a pub. They have outside seating available which we chose to do since it was a lovely day. We ordered the Sheppard pie which was excellent, I think it weighed a few pounds lol, very generous portion. The Archie burger is off the hook and will compete with the best burger you have eaten. Now for the fish and chips. I had the haddock which was recommended over the cod and it did not disappoint. The fish was battered and cooked perfectly, one of the best I have had I would highly recommend it. I would be remiss if I didn’t address the appetizers which were fantastic. Samosas I believe they were called, were amazing stuffed filo pastery triangles filled with curry flavored goodness. We also had the chicken dipping rolls. Both the sauces that accompanied the apps as well as the tarter sauce were scrumptious. This will now be a destination we plan things around. Add this spot to your list when in Melbourne, you will be hooked.

We will definitely go back as the place is a hidden gem. Lots of cool British stuff and the owners and some of the staff are British. We had such a fun time as the atmosphere was great.

Really a nice change. This English pub has a great select of draft and craft beers. Their fish and chips is made to order and the fried and fish are very crispy. Delicious!The Sheppard pie is very creamy with lots of meat at the bottom. There is no question this is a great addition to the Melbourne restaurant scene.
Archie’s Neighborhood Bar & Grill Menu. First time exploring this place to eat. The Fish & Chips was yummy for the tummy…no small fish here. Stop by and give them a try.
