Lunch at Asian Gourmet. My husband and I had lunch today at Asian Gourmet. He ordered Pho and I had the chicken with ginger sauce. It was horrible. The ginger sauce was watery and the vegetables were not fresh. Took a few bites and pushed it aside. The pho was also not very good…unlike any he has ever had before. Will not eat at this restaurant again.
The Best!. The Asian Gourmet, by far has the best Vietnamese and Thai food there is. My husband and I, and so many of my friends, go there as often as possible. Maria is a wonderful person, and extremely accommodating. Her clientele is based on word of mouth, and all become regulars. You will need to wait a bit for your meal, as everything is cooked from scratch with the freshest of ingredients. It is a true delight!
I decided to try out Asian Gourmet due to all the positive reviews, but was very disappointed. The pad thai was very bland and there was very little chicken in it. No amount of lime or salt could help it. I ordered a dessert that was supposed to be banana wrapped in sweet sticky rice and I couldn’t even tell there was any banana in it. I would not go there again.
Delicious and Fresh!. Excellent, fresh food. She is very accommodating to vegans, and will tweak any menu item to make it vegan, even the Pho.
Awesome. The is some of the best Vietnamese food in the South Eastern US. The owner grows her owns herbs out back to make sure they are fresh. She brings and grows Asian limes for the water when she can. Try H2 – the Crispy Rice Noodles. It a unique noodle and vegetable dish served in a shallow pool of Pho. I’d guess it’s the most popular dish in the restaurant. The Vietnamese Curry and Papaya Salad are two other favorites. Even the fried rice is a step above the norm. The Green Mango Salad is phenomenal, but only available when green mangos are plentiful. I’ve been back many times, commenting on the quality and taste of the food every time.
You need some time here, but it is well worth the wait. All fresh!!
The real asian place. Dont be in a hurry, because its all cooked to order. The summer rolls are excellent. I have eaten there many times, and never a complaint. All the entrees are wonderful.
