Try it- I believe you’ll like it! The only reason we went is because we live 1.5 miles away and had a coupon. Personally, I was hesitant to go because I just wasn’t in the mood for another dried out, nasty barbecue place that is so typical of the joints on Wickham Rd. I’m the first to say that my preconceived opinion couldn’t have been more wrong. I liked every sample they gave us. If I had to be even slightly negative, I’d say that the pulled pork was kinda plain, but that’s just so you can use one of their homemade sauces with it. Everything is homemade except the fries and they’re working on that. What was really exceptional was the fried fish. To get tender, flakey fish in a delicately crisp cornbread coating at a BBQ place was extraordinary. The friendly service and the homemade food from a dairy farm family makes this a sorely needed addition to the neighborhood. We’ll be back…

Just finished dinner at Bubbas and must say Sonnys or Woodys is much better. Sweet potato casserole was good but the ribs were cold and the cornbread soggy. The sampler was great cause I was going to order the coleslaw and Mac n cheese and so made choices based on not liking the samples. Too bad there was no cornbread sample- it was soggy and spicey. Best part was the banana pudding- and the rocky road pudding samples. To their credit- they took my dinner off the check. Hubby had brisket, beans and liked it but agrees we won’t go back.
Bubba’s Backyard BBQ has the works when it comes to BBQ and man, it sure tastes great! This was one of the best dine-in experiences we have ever had. After trying a sample of all of Bubba’s sides, which were all too delicious to choose from, we finally narrowed it down to four, that would go with our two diners. The ribs, brisket, pulled pork and ham that we ate was absolutely astonishing, and it’s unlike any BBQ I have tasted before; in a good way! We’re from South Carolina, and we know Barbecue. Bubba’s Backyard BBQ has a unique family recipe taste that you just can’t find anywhere, except in a warm, friendly, welcoming place like Bubba’s. Seriously the best BBQ I’ve had, the sides are homemade…yummy! This will definitely be on our list of restaurants to visit when we come in from Michigan!!!
Best I’ve ever had!!!. My son and I had lunch at Bubba’s today for the first time. Bubba came out and spoke to us. After he found out that it was our first visit, he hooked us up with some amazing samples. Every sample was delicious! The Mac and cheese was THE BEST WE HAVE EVER HAD!!! I’m not usually a big fan of Mac-n-cheese, but this stuff was incredible! After all of the delicious samples, we were anticipating a fantastic entree. We were not let down. I had the pulled pork sandwich and, as expected, it was delicious! The cole slaw was fantastic too. He had several yummy sauces to chose from, I used the hot bbq sauce. I think I could have drank it straight from the bottle! It was perfect! The deserts were super yummy, too! I just can’t say enough about this place. The atmosphere, the food and the people were above anything that I’ve encountered, ever, in a restaurant. This is by far, the absolute best bbq and dining experience that I have ever had! I live in Rockledge, right down the street from a bbq restaurant, but I will drive to Bubba’s from now on. Don’t cheat yourself, go get the good stuff!

The short version:Good food and good people should be recognized, praised, and awarded with your business….Go to Bubbas !!The long version:Ive lived in Melbourne for 20+ plus years and have been to most every BBQ place in the city. This weekend is my wifes XXth birthday (milestone), and I was under strict orders that no surprise parties or large gatherings were to occur. So last night, I had an idea that I would surprise her and her co-workers by sending lunch to the office. We had been to Bubbas before when it was on Aurora Road and the food has always been excellent, so I called around 10:15AM. Bubba was pulling in with some hogs (I think that’s what he said) so he handed me off to his daughter Amanda. I told Amanda what my plan was, and she said although they dont typically deliver, that she would make this happen. She helped me determine how much to order per person, and she was able to get it ready and personally delivered by 11:30 (before people started going out for lunch). Got a text from my wife around 12:30 that not only did everyone in the office love the pulled pork and the melt in your mouth brisket, but her co-workers, and even the owner, wanted to know where Bubbas was located (guess you got some new customers !!). The only leftovers I got when I got home was 1 piece of brisket, a spoonful of pulled pork, and little bit of beans !!I understand that not everyone will have the same experiences we have had, but we have never been disappointed in Bubbas BBQ, and the time and effort Amanda put in to make this happen for my wifes birthday just shows theyre good people. It wont be forgotten (which is why I told Amanda I would post this). Youll see us again for sure…If anyone thinks I am making this up, attached is the pic of the pan where Amanda wrote a Happy Birthday message to my wife, and the practically empty cole slaw pan !!Thanks again Bubba, Amanda, and family,Richard R.p/s: I hope you and everyone at Bubbas gets to read this !!
