Just stopped at Burger Inn (Rte 1, Melbourne) for the first time in a number of years to try their breaded pork tenderloin sandwich I’d recently heard about. I grew up in Iowa and breaded pork tenderloin sandwiches (always made by hand by restaurants and diners) were a staple of my junior high through college days. Always had one or two when visiting Iowa or other midwestern states through the years. Now I don’t have to look to the midwest any more. I consider myself to be a breaded pork tenderloin sandwich gourmet!!! These breaded pork tenderloin sandwiches at Burger Inn were equally as good as the sandwiches I remember from my school years; they’re actually better than the more recent varieties served in a few places in the midwest which are paper thin (and taste like it). The Burger Inn sandwiches are absolutely perfect. If you’ve never had one before, don’t put anything on it but dill pickles and catsup – that’s the way they were meant to be eaten!
