Terrible experience. I wish I could be as enthusiastic as some of the other reviewers. Unfortunately, our group had a horrific experience. One person in our party never received her dinner. My friend ordered three items; spinach, green beans, and salmon. Only the small plate of spinach arrived for her when they brought our meals. Apparently, Chef Mario didn’t correctly hear what was ordered so he cooked the wrong item. Since my friend never received 2 of the 3 items she ordered, we encouraged her to ask for the meal to be comped. Mario insisted she pay for the side dish (overpriced spinach) that had made it to the table. When my friend persisted, Mario actually began yelling at her and the server offered to pay for the spinach. The entire evening was ruined by Chef Mario and his hostile attitude. One thing to note- We were culturally diverse group and I find it very interesting which one of us was slighted.

Fantastic. We have had a number of opportunities to dine at Chef Mario’s. We love the atmosphere. The food and service are consistently good. It has become our favorite place to take out of town guests. I also love that they participate in the UPromise program which contributes to my granddaughter’s college savings. You will not be disappointed with your dining experience here.

Arrogant owner. Ate here a few weeks ago, the chef could be heard disrespecting his help. Also ordered eggplant parm supposedly one of his best. Tasted like it had been premade, frozen and reheated, my husband had the bolanese again quite a disappointment. Only thing good was the garlic rolls. Won’t be going to this restaurant again.

Make sure you try this restaurant!. My husband and I visited for the first time and it will not be the last. We were greeted by our personable and attentive waitress, Alison. The beer and wine list is small, as one other reviewer mentioned, but perfectly adequate to complement the food. We chose a nice Chianti. After some delicious, hot from the oven, garlic rolls, I chose the Antipasto Salad and my husband the Florentine Pizza. Apart from the usual mix of preserved meats, the salad also contained garbanzo beans, some smoked provolone and some hot cherry peppers instead of those ubiquitous greek peppers that usually accompany antipastos. It was excellent. My husband said his pizza was the best he’d had in a long time. Perfectly cooked with a great, crispy thin crust. Just the way he likes it.He also finished the meal with a cannoli and voted that also the best he’d had in a long time! The cream filling was outstanding. This location has seen some comings and goings over the past few years. Chef Mario deserves a good following to ensure he stays. We will certainly be one of them!

Fine food at a reasonable price. My husband and I decided to try this relatively new restaurant in the old bank building on Highland in Eau Gallie. And we were pleasantly surprised. The prices are reasonable and the food is very good. I ordered chicken marsala. It was served in a rich mushroom sauce over linguini. The meal was bursting with flavor, not too much garlic, but rich and smooth. My husband ordered the zupa de peche special, which was sea scallops, mussels, shrimp, calamari, and tilapia in a tomato based sauce served over linguini. It looked wonderful and he really enjoyed it. Our waitress, Alison, was accommodating, friendly and very attentive, as were other members of the wait staff. Will we go again. Absolutely. This could become one of our favorites.
