A Flash Back to the Past!. My husband and I visited Del’s Freez last evening after high praise for the place by a mutual friend. The trip was well worth the delicious dessert that awaited us–hot fudge sundae with all the works and a chocolate marshmallow sundae with nuts, whip cream and cherry on top. The ice cream was delicious and took us both back to a place in time we no longer thought existed. Five stars for this retro ice-cream shop!!! (in business since 1956!)
Unimpressed. With all the hype this place has gotten, I have been waiting to try it. And, finally, I did. I just had a vanilla and chocolate cone…no wow factor, no particular creaminess, no spectacular element. I am simply unimpressed!
First timers. My husband and I were house hunting when we came up on this little place, so we stopped in to get a hot dog. The lunch was pretty good and then my husband decided he wanted a banana split, so we went back to order the banana split and I got a cone. This banana split had CUT BANANAS strawberry,chocalate, coconut,and a whip cream topping top off with nuts and some cherries. My gosh we could have split that alone and it would have been more than enough,and the cone and split was under $5.00. AMAZING so now we are in the process of moving to town, and guess where we will be having eating a lot for that cold sweetness, DEL’S FREEZ. WE LOVE IT SEE YOU GUYS SOON!!!
