Amazing!. Everything is fresh….Carmelo bakes his bread, grows his basil…..simply decadent.
Went on a whim. We decided to go here on a Saturday early evening (before 6). Based on the various reviews we read we went with little expectation and figured IWW could always eat elsewhere if we couldn’t get seated. We loved the place. We were seated right away and service was excellent. The menu is huge and there were several specials. My wife had the crab and lobster ravioli that was a special and the portion was amazing with well stuffed raviolis. The veal piccata was also very good. We will definitely return.
My family went here for the first time in the night before the Melbourne Marathon. We were very pleased with the quality of food. Prices were ok…up charges if you change anything. On a $100 bill flexibility would not hurt. However very good experience.
I was very disappointed in our experience. We were one of 3 tables in the place and yet it took 15 minutes to get a club soda…The prices were much higher than we anticipated and the flavor was just not there.Mostly our complaint is about the upcharges for EVERYTHING!We asked if we could have vegetables instead of pasta as a side…upcharge od $7.95We asked for Pasta fagioli (not good)instead of the soup of the day and were told another upcharge of $3.95.I asked if I could get alfredo sauce on my pasta instead of marinara…another upcharge…This is a place that charges almost $20.00 for chicken parmigiana and then wants to nickel and dime us…never again
Three of us went into Melo’s after 9:00 last night, which was a Sunday, and were greeted as though it was early evening. Everything we had, bread piping hot, salad fresh, and entrees expertly prepared, fresh shrimp, etc. was all wonderful. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Prices were average to us for quality of food; service was outstanding.
First time at Melo’s. Heard good and moderate opinions. Have to say didn’t live up to the good. Def more moderate. Food was ok, thought price was too high for what we got, service was not so great. I would not give a 2nd try.
Mixed reviews. We haven’t been to Melo’s in a long time because of the mixed experiences with with food and service we had several years ago. We decided to try it again. We walked in about 1 hour before closing and noticed there were only about 3 people in the restaurant and they left about 10 minutes after we got there. When the hostess finally approached us we asked if they were still serving dinner and she had to go ask and came back with a yes. They brought out some bread which was really yummy when we dipped it in our wonderful mussels appetizer. The mussels were in red garlic sauce. The waiter was spacey and incoherent at times and apologized. He forgot our wines and I had to ask. I ordered the artichoke penne pasta dish which came with a salad. My husband ordered eggplant parmesan . Our salads were ok. My pasta dish had so much oil on the bottom, I could not eat it. I over heard the manager tell the waiter to ask me if I want something else and he did but I said no. My husband said he really enjoyed the flavor of his dish. We’ll probably try it again but not anytime soon.
