The worst. Absolutely the worst barbecue I have ever tasted. Left 3/4 on the platE. Fries were excellent and slaw and beans were good, but the BBQ was the worst ever. I am from the South and I know my BBQ. A Yankee might go for it… yuk!!
Charlie and Jake’s >>> Memaw’s. There really isn’t a point in stepping foot in here when Charlie and Jake’s is a stone’s throw away.When you order mac and cheese at Memaw’s, you are getting Kraft mac and cheese. That should tell you all you need to know.
Top Brevard BBQ. Excellent food, service, and cleanliness. Atmosphere is so-so, a little dark, but in the country style. Blue grass entertainment every Wednesday is VERY good!!! Saturday’s entertainment is ify–the karaoke-style singer has a nice voice but is a little flat . . . more of a distraction than quality entertainment. Hope the owner makes this realization. We have been coming here for years, and it’s for a reason. Try the sampler for two or four–it’s awesome!
OK, MeeMaws is nothing fancy. I just had the sliced pork lunch special and it was great! Pork was tasty and lean, fries were hot and crisp, beans and slaw were good too. Prices are reasonable! Give MeeMaws if you haven’t been in a while!
Food was great. Service was very friendly and attentive. Happened to be there when a Bluegrass band was playing and the place was packed yet food arrived in a timely manner. Could not have been better. Life is good.
LUNCH(NOTHIN’ TO WRITE HOME ABOUT). I haven’t been to this restaurant for many years, but finally decided to try it again. My recommendation……….Don’t waste you money or your time. Roll was stale, pork was dry, and portions of beans and cole slaw were minimal. Walked away after paying over $11.00 for lunch. I was never offered a refill on my drink either.
In town for the wknd. We really enjoyed this restaurant. We had a half order of hushpuppies as an appetizer – they were awesome. I had the 1/4 chicken dinner with fries and corn on the cob- it also comes with yummy garlic bread. The chicken was moist and had great flavor. The sides were great, as well. My bf had the pulled pork sandwich with fries and baked beans. He enjoyed everything. The service was great, as well. The waitress was very friendly and the food came out relatively quick. There was a very good country singer there performing named Captain Jack. Apparently, he performs on Saturday nights. I’m not that into country, but he was great! We will definitely return if we come back to this area. Good stuff.
