Just finished a great Friday afternoon with friends out on the Squid Lips beach. A wonderful breeze, fine music & excellent food with very courteous service. Squid Lips is our regular Friday meeting place as it has everything! Bad weather? The beautiful, historic, interior is welcoming and the chicky bar is cool to look out onto the river. My favorite eating spot!

We ate here last week while vacationing in Melbourne. The salads were delicious and I really liked the house citrus vinaigrette. I had plank grilled grouper and Scott had mahi mahi. The fish was delicious and perfectly cooked. The coconut bread was very interesting but we found the veggie side so-so. Nice atmosphere right on the water.

Fabulous. I had the Coconut Shrimp that was well prepared and actually tasted like real coconut shrimp. Our table also had the Stuffed Flounder, Praline Talapia, Mahi Mahi, the Key’s Combo, and a kids fish dinner and Key Lime Pie for desert. Everything was really good and everyone was very happy. I would gladly eat there again.

Recommended by the locals as s great spot, I’m inclined to agree! It’s a fine place with a bar for drinks, a patio with a river view, and a dining area with a nicer menu. I’d go with the dining area personally. The loaded shrimp is a top notch flavor, and you can’t go wrong with the skewered dishes either.

Recommended by Hilton staff. We went on a Sunday and it was not crowded and the whole $100 experience was terrible — the shrimp scamp was drowned in sauce with three shrimp in it — the red fish was a horrible cutOf fish over cooked and drowned in bernaisse sauce and the service was very bad . Next to us was a table full of silverware and napkins which never got put away — as we were leVing two servers wereSiting at the table texting . We told the Hilton they should not be recommending this place .

Good But Not Great Food, Excellent Service, Nice View. We were seated promptly after arriving. Interior and floor is a bit run down over the years but still acceptable. Our server was Samantha and she was very friendly and efficient. Bimini bread was great but diners watch the starch! Salad was plain but fresh, the Balsamic Orange dressing was excellent. Entrees came out quickly. I had the Cajun seasoned grouper, it was slightly rubbery but still good. The wild rice side was the best I’ve ever had. The steamed vegetables were fresh and not overcooked. My wife loved her scallops. Overall, par for the course for Melbourne. Recommended.

At least the view is good. My wife and I never expect perfection when we dine out. Nothing is perfect. Our experience with the staff could not have been much better. The bartender came out personally when I thought I was served the wrong drink and asked how I would like it prepared. Very embarrassing but at least they care. The food. This is where it goes a little downhill. The coconut bread was a treat. I guess I should stop there. Wait, my wife just reminded me that the coconut shrimp appetizer was good too. I got the stuffed flounder. It came with five French fries and saucer of what was once vegetables. The fish lacked the flavor that you expect from a professional chef. I always hate it when I think I could have done better My wife ordered a crab cake with rice and a saucer of similar post organic matter. The crab cake was ok (I have to remember to look for them in the frozen section at Publix) and the rice was quite good. Uncle Ben never lets you down. Oh yeah the food did not look appealing even before we started eating it. No presentation value whatsoever. Time to order another of those drinks whatever it was, before the check comes. If your still thinking of going go to happy hour. That they do great. Wings and calamari are the best around.
