Maybe it’s the hype that’s why I felt a bit disappointed. Will try again but for now I think they earned every one of those 3 stars. Food was decent but service was a bit dry and lacked any energy. Party of 10 so no choice on the tipping they were kind enough to fill it out automatically
Amazing! Have been twice now and will be regulars without a doubt! Escargot is the go to appetizer along with the onion soup. Any entree is amazing especially the name sake le coq au vin…. I love the schnitzel and the tournedos. Don’t think about leaving without having a souffl! Ask for Deano to serve you and have a French Sauvignon Blanc.
Came here on the magical dining month. It’s i a old house, I enjoy these types of restaurants converted over. I started off with the asst wild greens salad, it had a good flavor and had the house dressing. For my entree I ordered the Coq Au Vin, which was a chicken thighs and leg braised in a red wine. It had nice flavor to it. They should give you another piece of chicken but then again it’s a French restaurant. It came with buttered egg noodles and mine was way over cooked. They was like mush compared to my sista. For desert I got the ape tart which was very good. Sliced apples with Carmel yum. The decor was nice liked the outdoor look and the service was very good. Our server was helpful and friendly.
3rd visit. Definitely on my favorites list.. I LOVE this place. small, quaint, good service, not stuffy, and super awesome food. just add to my favorites list after my third visit. had Couq a Vin, pumpkin soup, red wine and dessert tbd.

Awesome before, SUX NOW. OLD SCALOPS, seriously overbreaded eggplant that was NOT even cooked through, not evenly chopped-up huge carrots just steamed like in any other 2-star eatery…omg, what did they do with the souffl!! :[about 2 years ago it would be a delicious fluffy heavenly desert….That would be 2 years ago… Lately their souffl doesnt taste anything like it: its close to become chewy!! Last several times Le Coq Au Vin’s raspberry souffl did not tasted like raspberry souffl they were making before, but, again and again, it was chewy, extremely sweet and, I can say, just horrible. I left most of it…We left Le Coq Au Vin hungry.Literally.I didn’t want to make a scene, and we paid close to $100.00 for the meal that we, mostly, did not eat.This is not the first time…We loved this restaurant before. It’s expensive, but before the experience was just awesome. But that was BEFORE…..we love great food, at home we make real homemade meals using real produce, meats, etc. Not out of cans and boxes. If we ever in the area again, we definitely not coming to le coq au vin. Don’t know if chef changed or something else…I can’t believe I am going to say that, but do yourself a favor, pick another restaurant…sad…….
