Nasty food nasty restrooms service horriable. All i can say is this place has so much potential. Its one of the biggest bar/ rest. on the beach. I have one name for this place it needs, Jon Taffer of bar rescue!! It has such a bad rep it also needs a new name, new manager, and new staff cause they are clueless!!
What is this place?. This place is closed most of the time. I don’t think it is a restaurant.
Inattentive wait staff. Out of items to put on burgers. Told when burger arrived. Slow. Didn’t mind but fries taste like fried fish.
Set up for disappointment. I was expecting a fun restaurant and bar on the beach, but all we got was bad service and crappy food. Once we got there, we had to wonder around until we just finally decided to seat ourselves. We opened the menu to find a poor selection and finally just settled on 2 below average crabcakes and fries that were overpriced. Not going back.
Peep and I decided to try this restaurant to see if its somewhere we would like to invite our friends to for an upcoming birthday. We are glad we tried it, because we are not coming back. First castaways has multiple entrances so we walked in a side entrance and had to track down the hostess. After we were seated it took the waitress a while to get out orders. We ordered a chips and salsa app, dragon fly roll, chef salad and the fried shrimp basket. The chips were okay, but the salsa was not restaurant made. The salad was bagged and warm. The shrimp and fries were ok. We waited for ten minutes for refills on water. Another customer went to the manager because his steaks were brought out cold. The waitresses are clearly not trained well, nor did iwe see one of them smile. Granted one waitress was serving seven tables at once. We finally got our sushi and there was no tempera in it and they were out of cucumber. It is only 1:30, and we just spent $25 each. It was not worth it.
Never Again!!. Okay, so obviously this is a dance club, not a restaurant! Had a coupon for buy a sandwich get one free, and we were going to a concert next door, so we decided to give it a try. MISTAKE!! Took a while for the waitresses to decide who was going to take our order, then I guess they had to go brew the $4 Mich Ultra since it took about 15 minutes to arrive. Every extra we asked for (lemon, napkins) we had to remind the waitress several times before we got them. We both ordered fish tacos, and they were very disappointing to say the least. Fish had no taste whatsoever, the flour tortillas weren’t heated first, so they totally fell apart when handled. The salsa was at best Pace. My wife is from SoCal and Latina, so this wasn’t very impressive! NEVER AGAIN! Missing Jubilee!!!
I have traveled all around the world and never experienced such bad service. The night manager was quick to correct the mistake, but it was too late. After 20 minutes of waiting for something to drink, my family and I had flagged down another waiter to remind them. We had to find silverware and straws ourselves. $22 for a 2 ounce dry steak. They should interview their employees before hire. I’m afraid our waiter was on cloud. I would not suggest this resturaunt to my worst enemy.
