    The menu and other information about K C John’s BBQ is outdated. We are currently open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 til 6. Our menu is updated from time to time. I have owned the building over 20 years and intend to smoke with my Southern Pride commercial smoker for the foreseeable future.K C John was born and raised in Kansas City and judged brisket for many years at the Kansas State contest during the 1970’s and 80’s.

    Had the ribs. They were super tender and taste was good, but really had no smoky taste. Lack of smoky taste to me means they may as well have been cooked in the oven. I’m used to Texas BBQ with lots of smoke. These were tender, but bland.

    ‘Great White North’. I’m a guy from Toronto Can. so what do I know from BBQ ? Well I know what I like, and that’s John’s great grub . Plan a return to Florida & a few trips to KC’s . It is homey & his people take real-good care of me and that’s all that counts in my book .

    I’m sorry but for a small place like this you would expect to get value for your dollar..my husband spent $45 in there today and comes home with the smallest portions of bbq I’ve ever seen served. It had been a while since we had food from there and our last experience was the same way but we thought we would try again..well sad to say that we won’t be back. Their prices have gone up and quality and quantity have both gone down.

    Hey now it aint half bad, not the best but aint the worst… Ate a bit of all the bbq mac n cheese, and slaw. Better than the main chain joints in town. Worth a try good food served up from an ol Army Vet. Hooah!
