Went on a Friday, pretty good live musicians who were taking song requests. Has a good view of the marina if you eat outside. Inside feels like a cramped ship cabin so I would recommend the deck, preferably the side that gets the breeze as there are no fans. Food was pricey but the market grouper was delicious and locally caught. Good wait staff and a good experience overall.

Long wait over 30 min! Then took over an hour for food. That was way over priced!as a child coming to Perdido key always meant going to the oyster bar the night we came in…after this trip we will not be back food has gone down hill and frankly the shrimp basket was way better!

Was expecting a beachy vibe considering location . It’s more of a fine dining atmosphere without the fine dining food. Not terrible… Food was decent. Cocktails and service good. It was just boring, really. Stuffy atmosphere. We had a larger table — laughing, having a lil fun, nothing crazy — and were met with stares and snarls from other patrons who I suppose were WANTING a more sedate, quiet experience. Won’t be back — only because when I’m on vacation I’d like to have a fun time–not dine with my grandparents.

We had called ahead to see if they had any available tables for dinner. The restaurant said there were tables and they would stop taking customers at 9:30. We show up at the restaurant at 9:15 and tell the hostess we would like a table. She walked away from the stand and comes back 5 minutes later and says were closed, rolls her eyes at us, and says they can close whenever they want. We live in the area and have been to the Perdido Oyster Bar many of times but last night they lost some of their regular customers. The hostess was just down right rude and needs an attitude adjustment. The foods typically good but they need happier people working. We went to Fishermans Corner instead and the staff was delightful!

Food here was excellent. The stuffed grouper was a must if you go. It’s a little pricey most entrees are 25 and up. Sit outside if you can the boats are fun to look at coming in and out. Definitely would go back. 1 negative was they brought the food out as soon as the salads came out.

Service was fine. Location is wonderful. I went there after spending the afternoon at Big Lagoon park. (I actually spotted this place through binoculars as I was birding.) We ordered two dozen oysters on the half shell. The first came with sauce, but no horseradish; the second came with horseradish, but no lemon. Strange, but not a big deal. The oysters were from Louisiana and tasted quite fresh. They were the perfect size. However, at $14.99 a dozen, the price was a bit steep. And that is my sole complaint (which, of course, will never be addressed). Your typical tourist-trap seafood joint, but with well-cleaned, fresh oysters.

It has been years since the last time we had been to this restaurant. In fact, it has changed hands at least two times since we had been, so we decided to give it a try, since we were in the vicinity. First let me say that this is a nice place located directly on the inter coastal waterway at the foot of the Perdido Bridge. I decided on the fresh grilled grouper with the crawfish cream sauce and my wife decided on the stuffed grouper. I was disappoint in my dish, as when it arrived the sauce was on the side in a cold bowl with cold sauce. I had expected that the sauce would at least be hot if not hot and over the grouper filet. I found both the fish and the sauce to be very bland. My wife’s stuffed grouper was at least hot, however the stuffing that they used was so over salted that you couldn’t really taste anything but the salt. We both commented that we had gotten a much better meal last weekend in Destin for almost half the price. I guess there really was a reason that we had not been to the restaurant in so many years. We have no plans to return here.
