Walked in and thought this was a great place to celebrate our anniversary. They put the Ole Miss game on for us and we played pool. We had just started another game of pool and purchased another round of drinks when we were told to leave. Seriously, told to leave at that moment. An enjoyable evening of celebrating our anniversary went from fun to done. Would never go back again. They showed us to the door and walked out within 20 seconds. Worst! The only saving grace is we went next door to Crabs and they not only welcomed us in with our beers, but bought us an appetizer! Will never go back to Docks.
After waiting at the table for about 30 minutes, our server finally came to take our orders. I got my favorite, hamburger and fries, my uncle ordered the pulled pork sandwich, and my aunt ordered the grilled chicken salad. The restaurant wasn’t very busy, maybe 4 other tables were full, but it took over an hour to receive our order. My aunt’s salad was wrong-it came with shrimp instead of chicken. Instead of sending it back and waiting even longer, she decided to just keep it. My uncle’s sandwich looked sloppy, the pork was spilled all over the fries, and it was so tough and dry he couldn’t eat more than a couple bites. And my burger wasn’t juicy like it normally is. It was dry, flat, overcooked, and bland. And our fries were cold.When we told the waitress, she said there were new people who took over the kitchen and they don’t really know what they’re doing. Well, they NEED TO BE FIRED!When we complained to the manager, he laughed and said that if we don’t like it, don’t come back! And that we HAD to pay for the meal or he would call the cops on us! He wouldn’t even tell us his name, but the server told us his name is Bruce, and that he’s always like that. Never in my life have I witnessed a manager of any establishment treat customers this way, especially long-time loyal customers!I’ve watched this place slowly die down over the years. It seemed to have a hopeful, refreshing pickup for the last couple of years, but it’s back to being a place of last resort. And mostly because of who is supposed to be running this place.Horrible and disgusting!!
