The place is closed now do to their bad service, outrageous prices, and undercooked food. The employees were told if someone looked like a local or local Veteran, to treat them with bad service, under cooked food and put something in their drinks to make them taste bad to run the locals off. They fired over 30 employees in the first 9 months they were open. They plan to re-open in Jan. 2017 and are taking applications. Do yourself a favor, find a job were they actually care about their employees, because this New Malibu does not care about it’s employees.

Food is excellent, ambience so-so. Didn’t realize it was more bar, less restaurant, and therefore allows smoking. Grosssss…. Also a loud and roughish crowd when we were there. Took my parents and there was lots of swearing and heavy metal blaring on the jukebox. I’d go back with just my husband, and sit far from the smokers. Bottom line is very good, solid bar food. We had shrimp wraps, a Philly cheese, and both potato salad and fries. All were EXCELLENT. menu is on the small side but well done.

New Management. They are now under new management and no longer have sushi of any kind and the name will have to be changed.
