It’s always a hit! Never disappointed. Super friendly staff and the food is always fresh. I had the grilled Mahi Mahi with a lemon-butter seasoning and a HOT baked potato and a side salad with the BEST blue cheese dressing. The bluegrass band is fun and we just love coming here when we’re down from Birmingham on the weekends
Great food/no wait. We have been coming to the Point since the 70’s. The food is still great. Their gumbo is the best in the area as is the fried mullet. One of the only places to find fresh local fish like wahoo, cobia and amberjack not often seen. I am amazed that people will wait 1 to 2 hours for tables around orange beach when you could drive to the Point eat and be back at your condo before being seated other places. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday they have bluegrass music from Bubba and Them. The place is a true hole in the wall that is a treasure not to be missed.
Ate at the Point tonight for the second time… The food is tasty but the server we had this time was pretty unfriendly and not very helpful at all with explaining the specials. The first experience was totally different with a server who was very knowledgable and friendly. I know the place has been around a while and I feel like there may be the attitude that people will always come back because the food is good but service plays a big part too in my opinion.
Hole in the wall! But service was great, prices were great and the food was great.
This place is definitely a dive kind of restaurant. The staff was friendly and the food was quickly prepared. Overall it was a good experts experience. The only detractions is that there is poor lighting in the sining room and that we found a cat hair in our desert and when we told the waitress she said ‘sorry’ and proceeded to still make us pay for it. We wont be coming back due to the latter incident.
Consistently excellent. Have been coming to Perdido Key since 1976 when there were no restaurants out here. I have seen many come and go but the Point stands out as the most consistent over the years. The gumbo is the best anywhere around as is their fried mullet. They usually have a wider variety of fresh fish such as amberjack, wahoo or cobia which don’t show up on many other menus. Don’t be fooled by the outside appearance. The food is great!
Treat us like we are family. The food is awesome and the surf and turf was perfect. They are famous for their mullet I don’t know because I don’t like mullet. The crawclaw appetizer was very good. It’s a hole in the wall place but the food is great.
