Simply Fantastic. The key to a great griddled burger is to keep it tender, but have a bit of char, and flavor. Tippy’s is knocking all of these out of the park. Quality meat, and application of condimentstheir bacon is also a work of artare also key, but this burger is better than any cheffy fancy-pants burgers that I’ve had. It’s the best burger that I’ve had in a while.23 Jan, 2012Solid Burger. I recently learned that they served food when I saw it posted on an outdoor sign. I figured that this would be a great place for my new weekly burger.I was pleasantly surprised when asked about how I wanted it cooked. The burger itself did not have the thickness that I normally see in the pub burgers that are cooked to temperature. It was a large tasty burger though with just the right ration of meat to bun. The condiments were applied thoughtfully as well. The meat itself was tender and VERY well seasoned(I wouldn’t say too much, but was on the edge). I would prefer this so much to the underseasoned burgers at Five Guys any day. Friendly staff and great atmosphere too for those looking for a dark old school bar.

Great Fried Grits. Went to Tippy’s with a few other divers the other day and enjoyed it! Service was great, and had the fried grits as a snack and they are most definitely addictive! But beware! They are most certainly HOT and be careful not to burn the roof of your mouth by popping a whole one in your mouth!
So good!!! It’s a hole-in-the wall kind of place, on the small/dark side. Friendly staff and GREAT food!! Best cheeseburger I’ve had in a long time. Tried husband’s muffaletta, also excellent. This is a place that combines a cool, old school vibe with simple but very thoughtfully made food. We’ll definitely be back!
Finally tried the cheeseburger & fries with the gritter tots. You will not be disapointed, fantastic!
