Amazing!! The decor has obviously been updated and looks awesome- the food was spectacular- we had breakfast, brunch and dinner on our stay and althought the wait on Sunday was long- it was more than worth it when we got out shrimp n grits and fried French toast! Great atmosphere and the waitstaff was literally the best we’ve ever had- very kid friendly and overall a great restaurant! We plan on making this a tradition every time we go to the beach!!
Great food!. Really good food and our waitress was extremely professional. Highly recommend the fried pickles and hush puppies and cheese grits, fantastic!
Food wasn’t very good and the atmosphere screamed nursing home. I’m pretty sure the waitresses are on crack. If you’re looking for a dated place to eat that smells like old people this is your place!
Great local flavor!. Trigger’s Restaurant food and service are both excellent. A nice restaurant that you can go in and relax and have a great conversation with your companion and not have to feel that you have to leave. Food is great!
This is a local restaurant. Older decor but the food was excellent! I had the shrimp and grits. They were the best. The fried cheesecake was excellent. My husband had a steak poboy. He said it was very good. The decor is a little outdated but the food made up for it.
Not bad, but not great either. One of four in our group loved what we had, the rest thought it was ok, but not up to the standards that other area restaurants set. The fried crab claws, shrimp and scallops were of a generous portion, but nothing special. The restaurant had a steady stream of customers, many of whom seemed like regulars, so it’s possible that our experience is different than many. On a positive note, the fried cheesecake we had for dessert was awesome.
Sad but true. The food, now sadly, matches the dated atmosphere. I would be fine with the taxidermy….ambience you know, but the carpeting, blinds and chairs are WAY too cruddy and dusty/stained to make one feel welcome. The crabcake, different than it used to be, was better than it used to be but it isn’t enough to bring us back. The French bread used for the Po’boy is ridiculously thick, making it impossible to keep your sandwich together. Come on Triggers! Get back in the game.
