Very cute diner , kind of a 50’s throw back. Food is hot fresh and homeade, even down to their ranch dressing which goes perfectly with thier fried green tomatoes which the family loves. Catfish amazing, country fried steak as good as grandmas. Everything we tried well seasoned and had wonderful flavors. Would highly recomend. Also check out specials of the day.

I don’t do allot of Reviews, But Because this place was so good I thought I would take the time. We had an amazing experience. We were going to go to Ruby Tuesdays but saw the Dinner so we thought we would give it a try. As soon as we walked in we were very pleased, It’s a cute little throw back dinner. Clean and staff is very nice and attentive. We Got the Chicken Fried Steak with Mashed potatoes and Gravy and Fried Okra, and The fish Special Catfish and Flounder with Yams and Cottage Cheese. Food was Hot and Fresh. Chicken Fried steak was just as good as my moms. Best I’ve had at a Restaurant. The fish was Fresh and Cooked perfectly. Sides were so good to. We also split a Chocolate Malt. I would Recommend this to anyone. We have found a new Home-style Restaurant in Pensacola.

Horrible Place To Eat!!!!. My wife and I decided to give Wayne’s a try as we pass by it all the time. We went there on Saturday about 1:30. Walked in and the place was nearly empty. Bad sign. After the waitress overcame her confusion as to where to seat us, we were finally shown to a booth. The menu looked decent with a good variety of dishes. I ordered liver with onions and green beans. My wife ordered the hamburger steak with green beans and broccoli. Food came after about 15 minutes. I knew we had problems when my wife put some butter on her veggies. They didn’t even begin to melt the butter. She tried the hamburger steak and it was cold. My liver was 2 slices of liver just about 1/8 of an inch thick each. And it was cold! How the h*ll do you cook such thin pieces of meat and they be cold??? I’ll tell you how. This is frozen Sam’s Club food! You would think they could run a microwave right! Never, ever will we step foot in this dump again!!!!!#

Poor service bad food and too pricey. We stopped at the diner for lunch. We were traveling home to mississippi. The waitress was not friendly and she brought out the wrong food-not just to us but at least 4 times that we saw. The fried chicken was ok but greasy. Mashed potatoes were bad instant and cold and NO seasoning in Lima beans. Way too expensive!! Do yourself a favor and go to the ruby Tuesday next door or Cracker Barrel across the street.

Love this diner!. Wayne has survived a good many sad hits over the years, but survived them and still has one of the best unsung restaurants in Pensacola. The fried liver and onions is my favorite and for a dollar more, you can get an extra slab of liver (three total). My wife loves the fried chicken, and you can order all dark or all white meat. You can even get a vegetable plate from their wide selection of vegetables.Everything is excellent and everyone is friendly and helpful. Lots of regulars and they are known by first names. That is always a good sign.

Fantastic accident. We stopped on the interstate for Cracker Barrel, but the wait was too long. Turned around and and as Wayne’s. It was the best Highway find in a very long time!! Tried fried green tomatoes, and they were delicious!!! Two entrees we ordered were both very good, and my fried chicken with fries and incredible homemade onion rings was too much to finish, and was equally delicious the next day. Will definitely stop again next time I’m up that way!

It’s okay. Went to Wayne’s diner for lunch today. Food was ok, but not enough for the money I spent. Paid $14.00 for two pieces of catfish and some fries. I would have been better off going to the King Buffet. Don’t think I’ll go back for awhile. Seems like a perfect place to cater to tourist, not a working man like myself.
