Even though the place has new owners the food was bad. Clams in basket was a few clams mixed in with fries. Ordered sweet potato fries & got regular ones. When I was done with clams finally got sweet potato fries late. Cole slaw tasted like vinegar. Coffee was weak. Rice was clumping together. Lived here many years and still waiting for this restaurant to turn around. Will not be going back. I think everyone goes there for drinking & watching football!
New owner has really cleaned up this place. Close to home, like the food, and love the Buckeye Room to watch OSU football. I recommend.
Ordered a mussels appetizer which wasn’t brought primo to my salad and soup arriving. In fact, all the entrees arrived so we cancelled the mussels. I tried the fried sea scallops, which were tiny, more like bay scallops; and which were dried out and Inedible. It took a lot of effort to flag down servers and get refills on drinks. To their credit, my hockey-puck scallops were removed from the bill and the potato skins appetizer I asked for as a substitute were on the house. The setting (right along side Lake Eustis) was pretty at sunset.
Wings Wings Wings!!!. I got them the hottest they could make them and they were awesome! They come out hot, crispy and spicy… You can taste the habenero from the first bite, and the aftertaste just leaves your mouth watering for more. Can’t wait to go back!
