Out family LOVES to eat here! My parents just retired to Eustis and my hubby and I were nervous about their rave reviews of this establishment, but just one visit and we were impressed with the food quality, the service, and the owners. We tried out the Gyros – super fresh and soft pita bread, tender lamb, and fresh sauce – they put SO much lamb in each gyro! My husband had the stuffed shells and we loved it – mom had the spaghetti and meatballs, again, very flavorful even for a pretty common dish. The garlic cheese bread was YUMMY!! And if we weren’t already loving the experience, the staff treated us to baklava, on the house! We can’t wait to visit again!
Love, love, love the food!. I have been going to taiks since the 80’s and the food has been consistently awesome every time I go to eat there. I love sia and Steve which are the owners they are great people and there restaurant is amazing.
Geriatric reply. I happen to be one of the geriatric grey haired crowd you referred to in mentioning the Eustis patrons of Takis. I must say I totally disagree with your negative review of Takis. My entire family (none of which fit your assumed demographics of Takis) do not consider a visit to Eustis complete without eating a Takis Greek salad. They are a well travelled bunch, worldwide in fact, and consider this Greek salad one of their favorites. The combination of feta, ham, tomatoes, onions, dressing and the optional anchovies keep them coming back time and time again. Sorry the prior reviewer’s (Dave) taste buds are bland.
An insider institution of great Eustis Food. Takis Greek Salad is fantastic — with Kalamata olives, finely cut tomatoes, lettuce, onion, peppers and feta cheese. If you are on the road (or even if you are not) and want a quality salad In a world of franchaise drive food, this place. Hidden in the back of Race Trac gas station, this Takis deserves a special effort to find for a family run and friendly service. Check out the Pizza — I am from NY so have a certain reserve for NY pizza but this is very good, much better than any pizza chain in this part of Florida. All the old time locals know about this place!
Best Greek Salad you will eat. A neighborhood gem. Sandwiches very good. Try the chicken parmesan. Pizza, despite what the gent from NJ says below is very good for central Florida. Try the white pizza. Always fresh and delicious food
Never again. Some of the worst pizza i have ever had.i’m from north jersey.it was almost raw, it was tasteless and just bad.
Great Greek salads and pizza. They have a family atmosphere and great food. The lasagna is handmade, along with several other dishes. My favorite place to eat.
