Very scenic location in historic Fernandina Beach, Sliders Seaside Grill serves great food at reasonable cost! For a lunch treat, I had the catch of the day’s blackened red fish. It was perfectly prepared and served on jasmine rice and sausage. Not often found in most typical restaurant, the crawfish coleslaw was an interesting and tasty side. My dinning companion enjoyed the shrimp and grits, pronouncing the grits as some of the best on the First Coast. Great informal ambiance and definitely worth the price!

We were downtown enjoying the harbor view and decided to try Brett’s for lunch. I had the seafood enchiladas with Meyer lemon sauce, nice combination of flavors. One buddy had the shrimp with French fries and corn fritters and buddy # 2 had the quiche with potato salad. Everyone was satisfied with the taste and quality of their meals. Attentive server kept drinks filled and checked on us frequently.
Enjoyed dinner and a beautiful NE Florida sunset this evening while on vacation with my wife. I had read some mediocre reviews on this establishment so was hesitant to dine here, but decided to because of the location and the need for a nice sunset view dinner. My server suggested the nightly special which was Seared grouper ‘Oscar’ with grilled asparagus and Yukon gold roasted potatoes. The meal was excellent, perfectly pan seared, freshly caught a few hours prior flaky grouper filet! Maybe I was lucky, but they nailed it, best piece of fish I have had all summer and I’ve dined all over the state lately. My wife’s crab cakes were tasty as well. The only drawback to this place, which seems to be a common thread is that it is ‘touristy’, lots of people wandering along the boardwalk and marina adjacent, but hey, you see that going in and they are not hiding that. Overall Brett’s surpassed my expectations after reading the reviews.
Lunch menu no good for small eaters. My wife and i go out to eat most lunch times. We are both small eaters, weighing 150 lbs and 90 lbs. The food portions are much too large and there are no choices for small eaters. In today’s world with a significant number of people trying to maintain a healthy weight, this is not the place to go. As we are locals, we wish Brett would consider some lighter choices on the menu.
We all had a great time. The food was fabulous and the staff were friendly and helpful
Great place to eat if you’re a tourist and know nothing about seafood. Seafood is over done and none of it is locally caught. Overpriced and strictly a tourist trap!
