Solid Italian food and good service. I had the veal picatta and it was just the right mixture of lemon, olive oil and capers. My wife had the rigatoni ciao which is one of their signature dishes, a light cream tomato sauce with scallops and shrimp. My only complaint is the wine servings are pretty light for the price.
This place is always great. I’ve never had a bad meal. The seafood lasagna is excellent but it’s not always offered. I’ve tried about five different dishes….All fresh and tasty.
This really struck me as a tourist spot. The food was pricey for the quality. You can get better Italian. Make sure to make reservations. I would not reccomend to locals.
Great Place. This was by far the best dining experience we had while we were on the island. The wine was great but the food and the atmosphere was outstanding. It was so great that we had to go back the next night to see if our impression was that good..and it was even better. The owner personally greets the customers and was very friendly and easy to talk to. You could tell he really cares about his customers. The prices were very reasonable. The great food was worth every penny. Thanks for a most enjoyable evening.
Made amends.. Luca the owner removed the terrimisu dessert from the bill and made fresh a batch. Always speak up instead of leaving and complaining later.07 Feb, 2015Second Visit. Was not disappointed! Okay a little. The Ceasars salad was a work of art. The chicken parmigiano was delicious. The red sauce was very flavorful. The atmosphere is very conducive to a romantic date night. Dessert was another thing. The teraimesu had a thick, choking layer of cocoa powder and the finish was watery and flavorless. Oh, and the hostess was pretty and pleasant. The wait staff was prompt and courteous.09 Jul, 2014Great Italian place. Courteous, prompt and professional staff treat you like royalty. The fresh baked rolls are amazing. Had the lasagna. It was more than I could eat in one sitting. Fresh made every day. Nice wine and dessert choices. Great date night location.
Great evening at Ciao with Folio Weekly Bite Club. Thanks to Ciao for hosting an enjoyable evening with Folio Weekly Bite Club! Really enjoyed the watermelon Napoleon. I would have expected it to be too sweet for an appetizer, but the goat cheese and balsamic reduction made for a perfect balance and a refreshing start to the meal. The seafood lasagna was absolutely incredible. It wasn’t too heavy, with just the right blend of seafood flavor and a light red sauce. I finished mine and was looking for more. It’s only offered as a special, but hopefully it will make its way onto the regular menu. The owner was very engaging and the staff courteous, helpful, and friendly. Definitely sit on the patio or close to the bar. The new location on Centre Street is a big improvement over the former strip mall site. The food and hospitality, however, haven’t changed a bit (which is a good thing!).
Loved the food! Coming from up north I’m always on the look out for good Italian food. I would gladly drive the hour from Jax to Fernandina to eat here again! Service was excellent as well and the owner was really nice.
