Crab Trap, more like Crap Trap. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. *read on about credit card scandal* Should’ve known that the over seasoned blackened fish filet was old, felt sick for the rest of the day. They forgot our sides of hush puppies with underwhelming other sides: Coleslaw was soggy and too sweet and vegetables were terrible. We couldn’t even finish our entrees due to how disgusting and unpalatable they were. When we left we noticed we never got our credit card back. We returned minutes later asking about the card and our server tried to convince us that we merely misplaced it in our wallet. Only after involving the bartender and the manager, did our server return with our card with little sympathy. Never going back again. Would give negative stars if possible. PLEASE SAVE YOUR STOMACHS(and wallets) AND DINE ELSEWHERE

Absolutely WORST food on the island. STAY AWAY. These guys can’t even cook a fish filet. And the fries are just horrible. There are way more choices to choose from. Anywhere is better than this.
Below average. Had lunch on 10/19. Service was great, however, fried entrees were badly undercooked. Batter was still chewy. The battered fries were not edible and any of the fried dishes were also undercooked. VERY disappointed.
You Want Food Right????. So, My Grandmother and I went there today for lunch….BIG MISTAKE!!!! When we walked in the restaurant, it was was busy, so usually that is a good sign right??? WRONG!!!! We got seated right a way…but where they sat us was right in front of eight ladies that were so loud we couldn’t even talk to each other or think…The waitress, if that is what you want to call her, should have taking her St. John’s Wart…memory loss….She was very friendly at first and took or drink order…then three minutes later she then asked us again what we had ordered…WHICH SHOULD HAVE BEEN OUR FIRST CLUE TO RUN AWAY!!! She then told us that we would get a free order of their smoked fish dip….we waited and waited and waited….we then asked if we could move away from the cackling hens that were behind us to the next table still in her area…we then got the smoked fish dip 20 minutes later….then we waited and waited….an hour after we had ordered our food the waitress then comes up to us and says they lost our food order and wanted to know what we had ordered again??? ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!! A couple sat down across from us ordered drinks and their appetizers and got theirs before our main food even came out!!! When our food finally arrived the England Clam Chowder was think and the clams were too chewy for my grandmother and she also ordered a 1/2 sandwich of their shrimp salad….a whole sandwich came out…She didn’t even touch that and ate about 1/3 of her soup before she stopped….I ordered a shrimp PoBoy…If you are going to sell a PoBoy…you the Crap Trap should know that it typically comes with a Remoulade Sauce or Mayo and Pickles to make the sandwich not so dry!!! Shrimp was the best thing on my plate…French Fries are battered and I am sure they would have been good if they were hot and not COLD!!! AWFUL!!! We could have told the waitress all of this if she came to check in on us, but not once…The only good thing about our experience is that the manager took care of the bill….not that he or she came over to the table to apologize or check in. WILL NOT EVER RETURN!!!!!!

We got seated in front of a table of 8 ladies that were so big and loud…you couldn’t even talk to each other or even think. The waitress if that is what you want to call her took or drink order…Five minutes later she came back and asked as for our drink order again…..That should have clued us in right there….We ordered our food….We then asked to move to the next table to us away from the cackling hens behind us…20 minutes later we got our free smoked fish dip if that is actually what is was??? 45 mins after that the waitress then comes to our table and said…I am so sorry, we can’t find your ticket for your food…What did you order again?…So we then gave her our order again…A young couple sat down across from us and got their appetizers before we even got our food…My grandmother order a cup of New England clam chowder and a half of shrimp salad sandwich…Clam chowder clams were very chewy and was to thick…she didn’t even eat 1/3 of it and she didn’t even eat the sandwich which was not a half but a whole sandwich…I ordered a shrimp PoBoy…..If you (Crab Trap) are going to sell a PoBoy…you should know that it typically comes with Remoulade Sauce or mayo and pickles…Sandwich was dry…The shrimp were good, but that was about the only shinning light about our experience. French fries which were battered would have been good if they were not cold….Horrible Experience…Don’t think I would ever return even though the manager took care of the bill.
Smoked fish dip wasn’t smoked. This fish took a dip into the mayo and liquid smoke batter & jumped out on the other side.Blue crap soup was served cold with a film of yellow oil floating on top…sent the back after one taste.Overpriced disgusting experience14 Jul, 2014Horrible excuse for seafood. Hush puppies were sweetened corn bread. Fish sandwiches were not fresh fish nor fresh oysters… Need I say more.
