We went here for dinner tonight. We got here a bit early and we’re seated right away. It it a smaller place and very trendy inside. Our server was very nice and helpful with the menu. Tables are very close together which I don’t usually care for but it went good with Thier theme. We ordered the jalepeno drop biscuits, Mac n cheese with brisket, brisket sandwich with coleslaw a side of baked beans and banana pudding. The food came very quickly. The meat didn’t have alot of sauce but was still saucy and moist. The Cole slaw was amazing. Everything looked simple but had great layers of flavor that you don’t expect. I really enjoyed the food and would definitely like to try more of thier menu!
Would come back to Amelia Island just so I could eat here again! Catfish was out of this world! The staff was great but would suggest you have reservation but hey did fit is in.
This place is great cozy and tucked away. The ribs are great picture worthy food. I had the dumplings, the shrimp and grits and the ribs/and fish. My family shared these with me. Amazing last can be spicy for some but a great spot to go and enjoy some good food.
I don’t know why people are raving so much about this place. My first visit here was terrible, food was bland, ribs were not fall-off-the-bone as advertised, only have beer and (awful) wine and the dcor and service is worse than a visit to McDonald’s. But hey I’m a glutton for punishment and everyone kept saying how great it was, so I went again. No, it’s still terrible. Now if you are from the surrounding area, love everything edible from this area, I can understand why cow plates and mason jar drinking glasses are your thing, but if you’ve ever traveled and own a passport with stamps in it, chances are you know how ridiculous the positive reviews are.
Most delicious restaurant on Amelia Island! Started with the skillet cornbread topped with delicious butter and green tomato jam. Alligator rib sliders were the perfect appetizer and way to try out the alligator ribs. The shrimp and grits I had were the best I have ever had- would completely recommend them. Closing off the meal with the bourbon pecan pie was just perfect! My favorite pie and in the most delicious way! bostonchicparty.com
The crispy pork belly, Mac n cheese and hot fried chicken are a must try. The sangrias were super refreshing. Best place I have been for southern cuisine.
Everything we tried was almost great…unfortunately the chef was heavy handed on the sugar or other sweet ingredients because everything which should have been savory was instead almost a dessert. The sweetness may have been acceptable in one dish or one side but it was overwhelming in every single thing we ordered – from the deviled egg parfait to the alligator ribs. I would not go back.
