Great Service…Fish was awful…. Ordered the 10pc Family Meal on a coupon with Cole Slaw and Beans for sides. Order was To Go. Service was fantastic. No one else in the restaurant at the time. However, when I got home I noticed that the color of the fish was nothing like I remember the last time I ate at a Captain D’s 15 years ago. The color was much darker and the fish tasted very oily and salty. The slaw and beans were good and I don’t eat hushpuppies so ended up removing almost all of the breading to get to just the fish. Tartar sauce was good. So, the fish looked nothing like the pictures of golden bright yellow and tasted bad with the breading and heavy salt/spice mixture. Much better once it was stripped clean but what’s the point. Old fish? Refried? Old oil in the fryers? Not sure. Not going back. Will make my own next time.
