Great takeout!. Great cheap chinese take out. I dine here often! I usually get a small or large order vs a combo bc they put a lot of rice in the combos. Most of what I had was good. The only things I did not like were the mongolian beef and mooshu .
Clean!. The Board of Health has always given Chen’s the highest ratings, according to my boyfriend who has lived here for 10 years. The food is excellent as well.
The food is okay, nothing special. The crab rangoons were soft and mushy rather than crunchy and fresh. The sesame chicken didn’t have much sauce and was a bit squishy. Vegetable Lomain was pretty good. Overall, it’s okay and nothing special. I prefer Yums.

Familly Run Goodness. Excellent, Chinese home cooking. My family was visiting Pensacola for the 4th of July holiday and decided to have a relaxed night eating in our hotel suite. We ordered Wanton Soup, steamed dumplings, Shrimp with Lobster Sauce, Beef with Broccoli, Kung Pao Chicken and Vegatable Moo Shu. The eggrolls which came with the combination dinners were the best we have had outside NY or San Fransisco Chinatowns. Crispy and fresh! Kung Pao was tasty but the spice had been cut back for American tastes. I added chilli sauce.
Chen’s Kitchen does a fantastic job for a Chinese Take Out place. It’s cheap, fast, and the food tastes fresh and is always hot. Everything seems to be made to order and I’ve never gotten the impression that anything is simply microwaved and sent out. If you realize you are ordering Chinese Take Out, you won’t be disappointed. The napkins have always smelled fine to me.
