Hubby and I had breakfast here this am and it was fabulous! Good coffee … Would recommend the Parisian Benedict . Hubby had texas skillet and he would recommend that as well. We would go back again for sure and wish this was closer to home!

We have been twice now, and I can say after two visits and between my wife and I, four different breakfast dishes, that this is one of the best if not the best breakfast and lunch cafes in Pensacola. The service is good, the place is clean and nicely decorated, the food is prepared with fresh ingredients, and not over cooked. Some of the breakfast places, cremate eggs if you get them scrambled. You won’t find that here. I guess for me, the only real down side, is I am not a huge fan of their coffee. There again, I do not care for Starbucks coffee either, so if that is your preference in coffee, you will probably do OK here.12/14/2015This is an update to a previous review that I did a few months back. We have been here on three occasions now and I can say that on each visit the food has gotten worse. On our first visit, the food and service were very good, on our second visit the food was just OK, and on our last visit on 12/14/2015, the service was OK, but the food was to be honest pretty bad. How can a breakfast place, over cook scrambled eggs to the point that they are brown when they serve them. They were so over cooked that they were more cremated than cooked. On top of that, the french toast was under cooked to the point that when you cut into it, the raw egg ran out in liquid form. When we told them the eggs were over cooked, we were told that they probably got a little busy and left them on the grill a little to long. Give me a break. You are supposed to be a breakfast specialty restaurant that was not that busy. Do your self a favor and go to the Waffle House instead and save yourself some money and get a better meal.

If Jesus were to stop by Pensacola for breakfast, I am 100% sure that He would eat at the Egg and I. This is quite literally the greatest breakfast establishment on the planet. I have tried something new every time I have gone and it has always been beyond delicious. Also, ask about their flavored coffees because they always have a new brew. Furthermore, they are very reasonably priced at around $10 a meal, which comes with tons of food. For the love of God, eat at this restaurant!

Have been 4-5 times, service and food have been superb every time. Sometimes a good wait, but worth it. The one time something was missing from my order, they quickly substituted an item without question or cost.

I don’t get the negative reviews. The Egg and I has been a top breakfast stop since opening. They are more high end andNOT pricey when considering the quality and consistency of their poached egg dishes. The hollandaise is full of bright lemon flavor, and the food is great even when they are slammed.Another Broken Egg can’t seem to ever poach an egg properly, so The Egg and I trumps them hands down. It’s a favorite!

Over priced and the service sucks. Drive a little further to the broken egg cafe. 100x better.
