My wife and I stopped here for lunch today. Wed heard some good things about the place and decided to try it ourselves. Its a nice, clean place with a great view of the inter coastal waterway. I had a pulled pork sandwich with a side of collard greens. The sandwich was good, a good amount of pork on a bun. I added some vinegar sauce. The greens were canned, not what I hoped. My wife three sliders with the Mac & cheese side. She said the brisket slider was good, the Mac and cheese was ok. We brought the other two home. We shared an iced tea, it was weak and way too sweet. Cutting it with some unsweetened tea helped. Overall I think the bbq is pretty good, not sure about the rest.

When I heard that one of the top ten BBQ restaurants in the country (#6 according to a popular travel website) was so close, I knew we would have to try it. While they offer decent BBQ, especially the ribs, I am not sure it is worthy of a top ten ranking. Lockhart, Texas anyone? While their meat was tasty-ribs, pulled pork, and sausage I was disappointed with the sides. The corn bread was dry, and I think they use processed cheese in the Mac and Cheese. The screened porch overlooks the Intercoastal Waterway, which is beautiful.

Best BBQ you will ever eat! The brisket is smokey and tender and the turkey with coleslaw combo is amazing. Don’t forget the cornbread, you’ll want to get some to go.
