Delicious Enchiladas!!! Casita Tejas Is A Must!!!. I went with my wife last weekend (10/10/2014) around early dinner. The service was great, the atmosphere was relaxed and happy. The food was SUPERB!!! I ordered the Enchilada Mambo or Rumba or something like that (4 enchiladas!). WOW! The price is very good, the flavor is outstanding! The margarita was also extraordinary (and I’m picky!) It’s a definite favorite of mine!
Nice place. I’m travelling for work and found this through US. Nice clean place. I had good service and an excellent dinner. I think you’ll like it too.
I’m crossed on this place. Tamales weren’t that great. Had a steak taco which was very good. Only problem is that they added lettuce and tomatoes, which takes away from authenticity. Maybe it’s a Texas thing but I’m used to onions with cilantro and salsa. Might have to give them a shot again before making my mind up.
Not impressed, pass. Not impressed with the food at all. Server was very good and attentive though. Salsa left a tingling sensation (fermented) on tongue. Guac did not seem fresh at all. More like packaged or from a large container. Veggie fajitas were nice. Tiny portion for beans. Friend order tamales which he said were okay.
#1 service. We are so used to poor service so when we tried this place it felt as if we were royalty. Our waiter must have been the owner . He treated us like family even though we are not locals or Hispanic (we are keys people). The food was good and hot, the portions were plenty and the prices are right on. Looking forward to our next meal!
Best taco spot in Homestead hands down.
Being from TX, we were craving Mexican food and found Casita Tejas. Their salsa was awesome: a spicy chunky pico/salsa cross. We shared a side of freshly made guacamole that was delectible. Our main dishes were cheese enchiladas & chimichanga both with a good spicy Ranchero sauce. Even the beans were flavored nicely & the rice fluffy with seasons. It was authentic Mexican all the way!
