I wandered in here with a friend after an exhausting day on the boat last Sunday. I had read reviews and wanted to try it. We got there after 9 and were able to be seated outside immediately. There is basically no ambiance at all, but the food was surprisingly good. Well prepared and presented sushi at a fair price. I’ll be going back!
Not impressed. I get the feeling that this used to be a really hot restaurant awhile ago, but is now just existing off those fumes and its great location. I started with the Diced Steak, which was served in an overly sweet sauce. The sauce resembled maple syrup in it’s consistency and level of sweetness with a dash of garlic flavoring. If you’re going to add something to a dish it should compliment the overall flavor and not be there for mere ornamentation a la the bed of lettuce it was served on. It seems like every ingredient beside the steak was an afterthought and lacked any real creativity. The sushi was passable, but I could have found the same quality rolls for less at any run of the mill sushi joint. The quality of the fish also left much to be desired. What really put the kibosh on this place was the service. I should have taken the hint when I walked in as two woman told me not to waste my time because they had been sitting there for over ten minutes and didn’t even meet their waiter let alone get water. The real kicker was when my waiter lost my credit card. Yes, that’s right, he lost my credit card. I’m on vacation and that is my only credit card, without it I would have been completely stranded in South Florida without any means to access cash or pay for anything. I explained how important it was that he find it because of my situation and he assured me that he would. When I turned around he wasn’t looking for it, but serving other people, which would give anyone the opportunity to find it, pick it up, and walk out the door. It wasn’t until I alerted the manager that the situation was resolved. Although my credit card was located, it was the complete unprofessionalism and lackadaisical approach from the waitstaff combined with the average quality of the food that completely sunk my experience. I will say that the manger was incredibly polite and proactive. I never so much as received an apology from my waiter. If I hadn’t alerted the manger I don’t think my credit card would have been found
My husband and I love this restaurant. We go prob once a month. The service is fantastic and the quality of food is to die for. We have been to Thailand and this is very close to authentic thai food!! Love it Highly recommend.
The main plus of this restaurant is its ambience and the view. The service is good but the wait for the food was too long. The food is actually good though. We had the iced tea which was average. The Chicken Volcano curry was well made and spicy. I personally liked the Chicken Massaman curry which was delightful. The Salmon Green curry which we ordered was delight to the eyes and the taste buds too. The only negative was the wait for the food which was a turn off.
Great food with good service. A very tasty food. Good sushi but hand rolls are small. Thai dishes were great. Good location and service. A bit too pricey.
Delicious Fusion. Our group was very pleased with the meal we were served at Asia Bay. We had a variety of food at our table including several sushi rolls, gyozo dumplings, and miso soup. The banana tempora for dessert was excellent. The good food, pleasant scenery and attentive service made it very special.
Disappointing. Had dinner with a large party, sat outside which was lovely. We shared a wide assortment of foods, none of which impressed. The sushi rolls were were average and lacked the feeling of incredible freshness one would expect from sushi. Spring rolls were bland and greasy. The pad thai was close to inedible because it was so overly salted / or soy sauced. This type of food requires a delicate touch which seemed to be missing the night we visited.
