Pretty average. I concur with reviewers who equated this restaurant with Carrabbas. This restaurant upholds the SoFlo tradition that there are not a lot of options down here for good Italian food.We went here because friends were staying at a hotel on 17th Street. It is not a place I would likely return to because if I wanted this type of food, I would go to Carrabbas and save a lot of money.Bravo is okay but over-priced for the quality of food. Dont bother trying the pizza, its not pizza. The trend lately has been for restaurants to offer Artisan pizza. While I get that, some restaurants do a great job with this trend. Bravo does not. Its like a quesadilla with too much cheese and they use dried spices, not fresh. Its not a pizza place or an Italian restaurant for that matter. Its a tourist trap that serves pasta and other dishes with Italian names. As for service, theyre attentive for sure and we all know that servers are supposed to up-sell customers. This place is overly pushy about the up-sell to the point that it is a distraction. We were waiting for them to offer us a set of steak knives if we were willing to hear a pitch about buying a timeshare. Okay, that an exageration but you get the point.Cant really say anything too bad about Bravo other than its not worth the trip and its not exciting. If you would like to overpay for average food and want to try it, go ahead (Just dont order the Pizza).Everytime I read a review that contains too many upper case letters, words like Amazing, or overuse of exclamation points, I skip it and am usually right. You guys have to knock it off as very few reastaurants are capable of creating a food-gasm.
Try the grilled calamari it’s tender and to die for. Want a walk on the amazing saucey side? Try the Bravo sauce made with fresh Italian sausage. For dinner try the chicken grnovese and if it’s not your cup of tea, the bravo’s chef will create your request. Make sure you try Carlito’s (daytime bartender) specialty coffee. As featured in my photo.29 Aug, 2011Great Italian food at a reasonable price!. Really tasty food and consistanly great. I have been a patron for many years and Chef Jimmy is great! Love his made from scratch deliciously fresh soups of the day. Seafood Salad is the best in town and the grilled Calamari appetizer is the best in town too. Don’t forget about the amazing house creamy Italian salad dressing or if your a fan of a great Caesar Salad, then you have found the place. Now, while some of their deserts are brought in from a great local bakery, some are prepared in house and the selection will vary day to day. This place is great and I get great feedback when I introduce others to Bravo’s
Bravo italiano ristorante. I made a reservation last week for 10 at 7:45PM and when we arrived the party was reduced to 8. We waited an additional 25 minutes. The restaurant was extremely busy, however not an excuse when a resevation was made a week or so in advance. The service was weak at best. We had to ask the server for everything i.e cheese , rolls cold glass for the beer. Most everyone was ok with their meal or maybe they felt embaressed since I choose the restaurant. My wife and I ordered the chicken parm which appeared to be purchased frozen and cooked in a fryolator. As a result it was served overcooked or burned.I won’t return to this restaurant..
Bravo…VERY good. Unfortunately, this restaurant shares the name of a midwestern Italian chain, but their restaurants in Florida are called Brio. Ft. L Bravo is local, and it is a delightful trattoria with a very complete and not terribly expensive menu. Extensive pasta offerings and very good seafood. It’s local for us so we dine there often, but it is worth a drive.
Very Good. I eat here whenever I’m in town for business. Always eat there for dinner. I’ve always been pleased with the food as have my guests. I’ll continue to go back.
Probably the best pizza in Ft Lauderdale. Thin crust and superb.
Nice staff but bad food. Tomato sauce tastes like it was out of a can…Terible!!
