Fantastic food, top notch service. A great place with top notch food and attentive service. The only reason I couldn’t give it 5 stars was because of the water. I mean even 2 star restaurants filter the water. The bad – Unfiltered waterThe good – Everything elseThe review:The Service: Spent an hour eating there and only found 1 thing that was not perfect. They don’t seem to filter the water. The water and iced tea have a definite chlorine taste. Other than that this meal was absolutely perfect. I arrived at 5:230 on the dot and we weren’t the first. Seating was almost instantaneous, and the hour I was there the only people I saw waiting for seat were waiting for the very limited bar seating. We were still getting settled when our server arrived with the menus. He was more than willing to make suggestions, which were all spot on. He knew his stuff, was pleasant and professional. It got a little busy around 6:15 and he was busy, but he had runners to make sure our food was served fresh and hot. No complaints. The Food: The food was perfect, I ate everything that was delivered to the table, there was not a scrap left on a single plate. When I go to a restaurant with a reputation as good as this one’s I eat everything as delivered, I don’t ask for modifications or extra anything. I don’t add salt or pepper. Here’s what I had:The special of the day corn and crab chowder. Large lumps of crab and the corn was finely ground and creamy. Just delicious. The Sweet and Spicy Calamari was fantastic. The light and crispy calamari was served on top of a nice sweet Thai sauce which was great because I hate soggy Calamari. I t did have some pepper, but it was definitely more sweet than spicy. The Brie and Wild Mushroom Quesadilla the least outstanding of my dishes. Still it was good. Could have used more cheese and sour cream, but for me there is never enough cheese or sour cream on anything. The quesadilla was well balanced between the mushrooms and cheese with a light spattering of sour cream poured on top. The salsa like fillings were on the side so you could add as much or as little as you liked. The Filet Mignon with Goat Cheese was simply amazing. This is the way filet is supposed to be. It had to be a prime cut because it was so tender and not the tiniest scrap had to go uneaten. Ordered Med Rare and delivered a perfect Med Rare. The cheese was enough to add to the flavor, but not so much that it took away from the beef. A heavenly dish. Not a big fan of the cilantro potatoes side dish that came with, but that’s just me, it was cooked well and when mixed with the zinfandel sauce that came with the filet, it was fine. My wife loved the potatoes without the sauce. The Bread Pudding dish was as everyone else has described it. Decadent, and delicious. The fruit compote under it was incredible and the pudding was flawless.Of course I had the Prickly Pear Margarita, 2 of them in fact, and they were good. They were not too sweet and tasted top shelf. Still they were just well made margaritas. I saved the margarita for last to review to emphasize that you should not come here just for their signature drink. Come for the food, it’s unforgettable.

Allergies, Stay Away!!. Only in Fort Lauderdale could this place survive! An hour wait, …..$25 for an appetizer at the bar? Can you say over priced, with attitude? And if you have a food allergy stay away!! Waiter told us he couldn’t do anything for us when we asked. First time in years I walked out of a restaurant. All the talk is just that!4-1-2014Need to add, I was made aware by American Express my card was compromised over the weekend after a Friday night there. The bartenders hold them behind the bar…..Beware!!

Consistently AWESOME. Moved to Texas a year ago and I miss this restaurant!!!!! Pulled up the menu to drool and sigh. I send people to this restaurant whenever I hear they are going to Florida. Everyone raves about it. Every dish is like an explosion of flavor in your mouth. The prickly pear margaritas are fantastic and the food is phenomenal!!!!! Do yourself a favor and go.P.S. If there is ever a cooking class let me know – I will fly in for it
