Love Doughboys subs – makes a great lunch. Italian sub is da bomb. The wraps are a nice light choiceI get the pizza as takeout – super selection – but good old pepperoni is our favorite. They have various coupons and specials so be sure to check – they are good about honoring them I got a free small cheese pizza with my order of large pep pizza and salad…that was great – perfect for my kids
Ordered food from this place. I was given a 45 minute time frame. I called after 90 minutes. I was told my order was only place 80 minutes prior. The driver asked if i wanted my order or not. I called the store and manager Alan stated i would have to call the owner Randy after 7pm on sunday or between 11 and 2 on tuesday what a joke. This place is a joke.
I have enjoyed Doughboys various times, for lunch and take out.I have not tried their dinner but they have a huge menu, so lots to choose from. They have some really good lunch specials, and since I am trying to watch my diet, I like the wraps and the salads. I also indulge in a slice special – great pizza.I find this a good place to get pizza to take home to my family too – my twin sons who are 14 love it – and they love to eat. Tip : check their website for couponsthey give a free cheese pizza with an order of $25 or more which works out great for a family pizza night
Rude. Enough said
Going downhill Tourist Beware. Worst customer experience ever. I have been going to dough boys for over 25 years. I always raved about their pizza. I used to get delivery once a week when I lived in the delivery area. Whenever friends and family come to town I always take them there for a really excellent pizza. I have seen this place go downhill really fast. Last week while friends are in town we ordered a large pie to take out. It was a 20 minute drive but I assured them it was worth the drive. We didn’t check the pizza before we left and drove home only to find our pizza was burnt on one side and raw on the other. We ate half of it and threw away the raw part. It was so unlike them that I decided to call the restaurant and let them know. The manager said he would write in a book the problem and next time the pizza will be on them. I thought that was really nice. In the many years I have been going there maybe I had one other problem but very rare. Today decided to call and order a large pie and told them of the situation last week. The manager Ramiro said yes we noted it and we will give you 20% off the pie. He said that’s all you get! He had such an attitude. He said he can only give me what the guy wrote in the book that people call and complain all the time that the order is wrong or burnt and that whatever the guy writes in the book at the time the order is wrong is the only thing that they can do. It sounded to me like a lot of people have been complaining that their orders were wrong or just bad and he was getting frustrated with the calls. He was obviously frustrated with people calling to complain about their food going downhill or the orders being wrong instead of correcting the situation he was obviously taken out on the customers. I thought he was joking at first but he really lashed out at me. I was so upset that I actually drove to the store to have a conversation with him. When I arrive to Ramiro could not look me in the eye. I told him I have been coming here for years he said yes everybody comes here for years! He had no interest or intent in saving me for keeping me as a customer. I explained to him the reason I came down to the store was that most people vote with their feet instead of taking the time and courtesy to let him know what the problem was and how we could correct it. Most customers just never come back. But I loved their pizza. It was right out of an episode of Seinfeld call the Soup Nazi. He had no care whether the customer is happy or not and he told me the owner just cares about getting the cash. He said if they had to give away free food every time it was burned or made wrong they would go out of business. I asked him maybe if they didn’t burn the food or make it wrong they wouldn’t have to give people discounts or free food. This was obviously a long-standing problem that has been going on for a while he was not upset with me but the amount of people that have been complaining and he was just tired of dealing with it so instead of dealing with it he just brushes the customers off thinking that customers just want to complain. I was not happy and very sad that what used to be one of the best pizza places has gone downhill so fast in the quality of food and what makes it even worse is there is no attempt in any customer service effort at all to retain or even care about their customers. Obviously the owners do not read any reviews. They obviously prey on tourists because no local will ever go back to this place if that’s how they are treated. After reading the reviews on here it is a consistent thread that they are consistently rude to customers. These are just the people that take the time to post. What about the thousands that never go back. People vote with their feet they just walk away from the business.. I’m hoping that the owners will read this and make an effort to save their failing business. This place could be a gold mine. They must be happy with the amount of business they are doing or they would fire all of the management. There were only four people in there having dinner when I went at 7 o’clock. I remember the days when you couldn’t get in. The phone rang twice while I was there. By the way when the phone rang they immediately said please hold. If your a tourist and want bad service and an attitude feel free to call them. Just be sure to make sure your order is correct and not burnt before you leave or the driver leaves. Another Fort Lauderdale institution going downhill and out of business real soon . So sad
Pizza was awful, too much garlic and no condiments. Wings were overcooked, fat and greased. No value for the money.
