Second bad experience with the way they treat people. Hostess can’t accommodate 2 customers 5 mins before they close their business in a table for 4 because it’s their rule. Unheard rudeness!!!! Absurd!!! I’m Italian and never been in a restaurant that have this kind of customer treatment. Really not to run a family business.
The worst Italian restaurant in Fort Lauderdale. The hostess seems more worried about breaking a nail than making customers happy. The food is overpriced and the serving of wine seems as though this restaurant is struggling. Cafe Vico at leasteets the customers with a smile. This restaurant is clearly off the list for gay friendly places. The owners would rather let their staff run the show then make customers happy. One of the worst dining experiences in Fort Lauderdale
I have been there with my entire family trying to give them business while the restaurant was completely empty and they said that every table had a reservation. On a different occasion the same thing happened to us again. I’m not sure why they say such things when clearly their restaurant doesn’t have any clients at their opening hour. We like their flatbread the most, but their chicken parmigiana is very very tough.
Best gnocchi’s in the world!I’m definitely coming back!!
Refuse to go again. We used to go to Kitchenetta before we ultimately had enough. The food is good, but not amazing, but there is no way I will ever eat in the restaurant again. I had one decent waiter out of dozens of visits… It truly is the rudest staff I’ve ever experienced – they have actually chased patrons down to their cars to question their tips, I’ve seen it many times and even had it happen to us once. The wine is always warm, the food is always late. It is consistently bad service. The specials rarely change so when there is something we are particularly craving from Kitchenetta which is rare now, we do take out. It’s so loud and uncomfortable inside. The experience of rude service, loud sterile environment and huge plates is very pass anyway. For that kind of night, I’ll go to Martarano’s where at least I will be entertained. So many other amazing Italian restaurants in town to go to instead.
Worst customer service! I practically paid to get horrible food. This place is a dissappintment. Calamari was extremely salty and seafood linguini had absolutely NO flavor! I will never recommend this restaurant!
Terrible terrible service….. Ate here two weeks ago… Really had a terrible dining experience. I’m surprised to see that so many people agree that the food is great but the service is terrible. My wife and I met a friend at the restaurant with her baby. My wife was driving separately from work and was 10 minutes late. Because the baby had to be home in an hour and a half, we wanted to go ahead and order the food. I spoke to my wife on the phone and read the menu to her. She told me what she wanted so we could order but the restaurant would not take our order until all parties were seated at the table. 10 minutes later when my wife arrived we placed the order. A few minutes after I decided I wanted add a side dish to the order, but was told we couldn’t add anything further to the order?? WTF? From that point on it took 1 hour and 15 minutes to get the food! It was crazy! We asked for it to go so we could get the baby home and it took another 20 minutes to get the check. My other issues with the restaurant were that there is no substitutions allowed at all. We weren’t allowed to ask that the one salad have no tomato? The manager/(owner?) has a terrible attitude, the service is slow, the tables are ridiculously close together, there are no soft furnishings in the restaurant so it’s very loud and every single one of the waiters run around panicked, seemingly without reason, with a miserable expression on their faces. Then just to add insult to injury, when the bill does arrive, it’s crazy expensive. (They don’t print the prices on the menu so beware!) I will say the food was good, but honestly, it’s not that good to make it worth the expense and to sit through bad service. My advice – skip it. Eat at the next little place just north on US1.
