Ate there last night, (9/5), and the food was amazing, it took a while to be seated, because we had a party of 8, but once we were seated, the food was excellent, the server was excellent and I must recommend the parmesan crusted chicken along with their mashed potatoes, and strawberry pecan salad.
Great Stop Just off of I-95. Drving from Charlotte to Key West on vacation, we stopped in Ft Lauderdale for the night. Not in the mood to do much exploring, we decided to play it safe and try the Long Horn because they are generally a pretty consistent restaurant with good food and service. That is not to say that I have not run across an occassional bad apple in this barrel but this one proved true to form.The restaurant was rather crowded when we got there but never the less, we were promptly seated by the hostess and our server was there very quickly. Menu’s were produced, beverage orders taken and delivered to the table along with warm bread. They have it down to a science.For her entree, my wife chose Flo’s Petit Filet with asparagus as here side along with a cup of thier potato soup. I stuck with my traditional Steakhouse Burger with a side of Fries. Both of us were very satisfied with our food. It was cooked properly and in both cases, was cookd to exactly the proper degree of doneness and yet was still moist and full of flavor. My only complaint was with the fries. They could have been cooked at a slightly higher temperature so they were more crispy on the surface and not as starchy on the insdie.Again service was great and the Manager did drop by our table to insure that we were satisfied. It’s either fairly new or recently remodeled because the interior is nice and fresh with no sign of wear.It was a pleasant stop and exactly what we wanted at that pont in our vacation.
First time, and surprised.. I hate going to franchise restaurants…… Had never been before to LH, thought it would be just like Out Back Steak house which I loathe. Surprising enough, it is great. Food selection very different, prices $9.99 , portions very large. I ordered the pecan crusted chicken excellent, 4 large chicken breasts. With a side of vegetables also came large. Paid $1.49 for a side salad of the pecan starwberry vinnegrate salad. I got a full sized salad that was enough for 3 people. Very impressed. Everything fresh, affordable, and good tasting!
