LOOSER. We ate there last night. While the staff was attentive, the chef was not. Worst puninesca I have ever had. It was covered in LOTS of marinara sauce, and there was not a black olive to be found. I doublt if there was an anchovie anywhere in the neighborhood. We should have sent it back or at least complained, but fools that we are, we did not.
Tiny little Italian place in the area, food was pretty good loved the grilled octopus & Piemontese. It’s an older crowd you can tell come there often so service for newbies kinda sucked. It wasn’t the best Italian in the area but my tummy was happy
After recent reviews I was quite skeptical. But I bought the Groupon so I took some friends and tried it. Service was very nice. Food was nicely timed so we did not feel rushed. Food was definitely above average. Couple dishes slightly over salted, but not inedible. Would have enjoyed my pasta a little more al dente. Fried calamari light and tender.
This Brooklyn boy Was shocked to find that The best chicken Parmesan he’s ever eaten in his entire life Was in Lauderdale by the Sea. Not only was the chicken Parmesan great the sauce was great as well. The truffle cream of mushroom soup was outstanding. The service was excellent as well I would love to go back often.
So-So. My wife and friends of ours had dinner there this past friday, and overall we thought the expereince was only a little better than average. The location and look of the restarant were very good, no issues there. the lighting was low and romantic, perfect for a first date. our disappointment was mostly due to the service. the wait staff was friendly and curteous. However, it was the little things that were lacking. after seating us it took them about five minutes or so to give everyone in our party menus. After ordering a bottle of white wine it toon another 5 minutes or so to get a bucket of ice to keep it chilled, and finally after dinner we just sat there for a while, food finished, wine glasses empty, wondering if they were going to ask us if we wanted desert. kind of awkward! The food was good, but not mind blowing. The scallop appetizer was delicious as well as the beans and sausage. however 2 of the 4 us thought our main course was pedestrian at best. All in all it wasnt a bad experience. I have had far worse dinning experiences, i have also had better. Lucca is a nice place with friendly people it just turned out not to be a place for us. hope this helps some people out there.
The best Italian dish I have ever had! Sacchetti with mascarpone and gorgonzola cheese filling – amazingly delicious!! It wasn’t even on the menu, ask for it! Tiramisu, homemade and decadent. Great service, romantic atmosphere.
Absolutely Fantastic. I stumbled upon this place while in town for business. I wasn’t all that hungry for a large meal, so opted to sample a few things, so just ordered a glass of wine, the tomato onion salad & the veal meatballs. Best salad I can recall ever having (red wine vinegarette dressing was delicious, soaked it up with the yummy garlic bread). The atomosphere was intimate. Service was great, and I took their homemade tiramisu to go–best I have ever had. Definitely recommend this place to everyone!
