For breakfast/brunch food, this is really expensive (e.g., $20 for an omelette). That said, however, the food is delicious – rich, quality, fresh, with big portions. It’s hella expensive (at least, I think so), but you will leave satisfied and full! Also notably, there is a no tipping policy.
You will love OB House or hate it. I’m passionate about how damn good this food is. Expensive — on the surface but in reality this farm fresh, high quality, flavorful food is the best breakfast in Fort Lauderdale. My number one is the BLT Salad. Omfg. The bacon is so crispy and thick. The tomatoes are perfectly fresh and packed with flavor. The custom made bread seals the deal. Worth every penny. The service is always on point, Peter is the best. Thank you Rodney for creating this house of plenty. Tip: Aaron bakes the best chocolate chip cookies and cupcakes in SFL, grab one before you leave.
Fantastic breakfast. Come early there is usually a wait. Whatever you do get some wheat toast. It’s fabulous, drenched in butter! I had the pecan & pineapple pancake. It was thick and fluffy baked in an iron skillet. Fancy omelets and much more. Go there. Go there fast!
HORRIBLY LUNCH!!!!!!!this is the 3rd time in my life that i have been to this place. and each time i say i will never be back!! the only reason i broke that promise to myself is a dear friend BEGGED me to take her here. she could not believe how terrible the service was going to be. and o-b house did not disappoint!!!! she is now a believer and will be part of a HUGE contingency that shares the same opinion – TO MUCH ATTITUDE from a breakfast shop!!!the ONLY person that seemed to be immune to the attitude was the host! he was very nice and even paid my friend a compliment.as to the food – yes it is good, but not worth the attitude you get from the staff!!!i have been in 5star restaurants in paris and london without the attitude this place gives off!!they have a dish that is poached eggs over steamed spinach with hollandaise sauce. i asked if i could have the eggs poached medium with the sauce on the side? answer NO!i was told if you don’t want the hollandaise sauce you can have poached eggs over roasted spinach.i asked if i could have the eggs poached medium and with steamed spinach? answer NO!then the waitress pointed to a dish that had eggs my choice with potatoes. i asked if i could substitute the potatoes for spinach. answer NO!by this time my friend is flabbergasted. i told the waitress i don’t like potatoes. her answer OH WELL!REALLY????i ordered the eggs and potatoes and just ate 2 eggs with bacon and left the rest. for $15!!!what i did find interesting is that this restaurant does not accept gratuity. they pay there staff more. THIS WAS NOT ALWAYS THE CASE!!! it is obvious because of the staffs attitude that they could not make a living so the restaurant had to change.no one ever came by to see how the meal was!when we were finished i had to get up and go to the counter to ask if we could have coffee. they woman looked at me like i had 4 heads! she asked ‘well were did you come from?’ i pointed to my table and then the employee asked me where my waitress was??? REALLY?????then a man came up and said our waitress was outside taking an important phone call.YOU CAN NOT MAKE THIS UP!!!!we asked for 2 decaffeinated cappuccino’s. answer WE DONT HAVE DECAFF ESPRESSO.we settle for decaffeinated coffees. we were asked if we needed cream to which we said yes. THEY PUT THE CREAM IN THE COFFEE FOR US!!!!!!for the inconvenience we were told we would get a free cupcake. NEVER HAPPENED!!we got our bill ($82!!!!!!!) and proceeded to use the restrooms. my friend was able to use the facilities. i was told i had to wait while i watched a woman who spoke no english wipe down the mens room walls.my friend came out of the women room to exclaim there is no toilet tissue.NO ONE CARED!!!!!i asked to see a manger and the same girl who thought i had 4 heads told me there is no manager!NO ONE WILL BEG ME TO TAKE THEM HERE AGAIN – PROMISE!!!!!!

It wasnt my first time at OB House, but definitely, the last one.The owner always very arrogant. Customer Service? They have no idea what it means. We, on a party of 4, were told the waiting time would be 45 min. Ok, we knew it could take some time, since this place is very small and service always slow. After more than 50 minutes of waiting time, the owner sat another party of 4 that arrived 5 minutes earlier. At this moment, I went after them and told the owner this was wrong since we were waiting for a long time and this group had just arrived and he could not simply cut us off. His answer, with his arrogant face: They are my friends, my family and Ill give preference to them So, how outrageous is that? Unbelievable. Worse than this, another guy from the restaurant said to me: we manage our tables the way we want. So, they simply do not care at all about their customers. Other parties that were waiting got really upset as well and joined the discussion. One of this customers told me this had happened before and reading some of the reviews, it seems to happen very often. So, disrespect, arrogance and lack of customer service is part of their menu. If you are up to these items, go there and youll find a good variety. rrogant. Customer Service? They have no idea what it means. We, on a party of 4, were told the waiting time would be 45 min. The first time I went with my well mannered young daughter for lunch and they refused to seat us, instead seating about dozen parties arriving after us so we left after 30 minutes waiting. The second time I went (because friends urged me to try again) it was indeed delicious, and wallet busting. The toast was awesome. Believing it would be good again, we went for our third and last time. While I don’t mind the surly wait staff, and was prepared to shell out big bucks, I do mind raw eggs. Our fried eggs were so runny, the white part was still clear and looked like water on the plate. And the muffin was raw in the center. Disgusting and inexcusable. Anyone can fry and egg. I give up on this place. I’m sure this review will not effect the operator as the lines are always long, but I would encourage the chef to do some quality control. They lost our business.
