Kid friendly even though it’s a bar. Good food. To my surprise. Shrimp was good and the sweet potatoe basket was well sweet.
Horrible food. The bar looked cool and the drink prices were fine but the food was absolutely horrible. If you think their cheesesteak is good you shouldn’t be reviewing food. Their bread was cold, wet and soggy (not from grease) the meat was dry chewy and gristle filled low quality crap. I was starving and was going you push through like a bad fast food experience but it was so bad i couldn’t finish half of it, nor could my fianc. Was really hoping for a new great spot.
Amazing beer selection. Great cheese steaks!
Great service, good atmosphere, looks like a place to have fun but don’t go for the fish- overly cooked
Ordered a margarita to start- strawberry. Suffice it to say that I won’t order another. The grouper sandwich was good though. It’s huge so I’m glad I didn’t pay the extra $2.00 to have fries instead of the little bag of chips it comes with.
A South Florida Classic. My oh my where has all the time gone my Parrot friend. Most of you kids and yes alot of you are kids to me, don’t remember how damn good the Parrot used to be. I was there on St. Paddy’s Day and was I surprised on how dead this place was. Back in the day (Late 80’s) the routine was simple for a Friday, hit the Mai-Kai for happy hour and then head to Parrot, River Rock, Baja Beach Club or Confetti’s depending on the mood. Everyone hung out at the Parrot. Boy have things changed. The inside looks pretty much the same and I even ran into the owner Tim and chatting with him for a bit. Just a good solid guy. They have a bunch of craft beers on tap which I found interesting. I had my standard Miller Lite Draft which Miller Products was the only of beer you could get here for the longest time. No Bud Products at all.I didn’t eat, but I never really ate when I went to the Parrot we just drank and met girls:) What was weird was the fact that my wife and I stopped by McSorleys before the Parrot and that place was F’ing rocking. $hit reminded me of the damn Parrot back in the day. Without getting all melodically and $hit maybe I just hit the place on a bad night, not really sure. One thing is for sure is that the Parrot will ALWAYS be 5 F’ing stars amigos. Remember to tell the owner Tim that Dan sent you and Stay Hungry!
Good!!. Good food for a diveish bar…friendly bartenders…I will go back!
