I heard about this place a couple months ago; finally decided to stop by today. The service is very friendly. I ordered the pulled pork with barbecue sauce. Lettuce, tomato, and any of the other regulars. When I took my first bite into my pita, LET ME TELL YOU! It was phenomenal!!!!!! I plan on visiting again many times in the future!

Confusing service with multiple employeesbehind the counter asking conflicting questions abou how your food should be prepared. Pita was tearing apart, which made the whole experience awkward and unpleasant. Pretty tasty, however, and excellent value.

I love the Pita Pit. I frequent the Pita Pit often since I work and live in the downtown area and it is a wonderful quick service restaurant. I go for breakfast and get their breakfast special they run daily of a breakfast bowl and regular coffee for $5. My breakfast choice is always the meat the day which has eggs, hashbrowns, sausage, bacon, and cheddar cheese. You can also get breakfast with just sausage or bacon, ham, chicken, or vegetarian with tomato and avocado. The coffee is so good. It is a brand I haven’t had anywhere else. I think they said the brand is Douwe Egbert or something like that. The cappuccino and expresso are also tasty and they only charge $2.50. It is hard to find premium coffee drinks for less than $4 downtown. At lunch time the staff is friendly and quick. I can get in and out with plenty of time left in my lunch hour and delivery gets to my office fast. I read the other post about Pita Pit and it said they charge a delivery fee but I have never been charged for delivery. They must have gotten rid of their fee. The selection of toppings and meats makes for tons of combinations. I can saute veggies on the grill, have sauce mixed in with the meat, and have the pita toasted if I want. They really customize your food just how you want it.The most interesting time to go to the Pita Pit is late night Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. They are open until 4:30 am and it makes for an awesome end to a night of partying and the people watching is hilarious. They deserve even more business for putting up with all the crazy drunk people you will see in there. I don’t know how they are still happy and helpful that late but that is why I give them my business. The last time I was there I found out they started selling beer as well. It was only $3 for domestic beer and $4 for premium. They run nice beer promotions too. If you are out with your friends it is the cheapest place to drink downtown. If you purchase five beers your sixth is free and they actually give you the full 12 oz bottle. I pay attention to these things because when I get drinks elsewhere downtown they charge $5.50 or $6 and then give you something just bigger than a dixie cup. Most people are to drunk to notice but $6 for 6 to 8 ounces of beer is highway robbery. The Pita Pit only charges me $3 for a full bottle. They said they are going to start selling buckets of beer soon. I think they want to turn it in to a place for people to hang out instead of it just being the place to go after a long night of partying.I go to Pita Pit pretty much every Sunday as well and it is nice because the area is really dead after the late night on Saturday. I can find parking out front easily or they validate parking in the garage right above the restaurant. I can’t get enough of the Pita Pit and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone the likes fresh food that is easy on your wallet.
