Visited restaurant with the large group for dinner. All the dishes we had were excellent. Wok Charred Edamame were very tasty (albeit a bit messy to eat). Tomato bread was very tasty. Scottish Salmon, Marinated Lamb Chop, Pork Belly, Beef ribeye everything was very well cooked, nicely presented and very tasty. Excellent wine list and wine service. The wine list contains large selection of wines, well priced and geographically and stylistically diverse. I was happy to see that the foil on the bottles was cut properly (under the lip), and corked bottle of wine (a very borderline corked, but corked) was gracefully replaced. Overall, excellent service prompt, friendly and attentive.Highly recommended. talk-a-vino.com

Awesome view of the ocean. And every time we go there the staff is amazing beyond just serving you food and drinks. They want you to enjoy your visit to FTL…..must experience!

Best Oceanfront Restaurant in Ft Laud!. I’m a local that lives nearby. I’ve been yo S3 over a dozen times. Great place to bring out of town guests to dazzle them with the view. Great specialty cocktails. Love the grilled octopus and heirloom tomato salad. Burger is great and sushi is among the best in Ft Lauderdale. The circular bar is my favorite spot for people watching. Great place!

Mixed Experience (The Good the Bad and the Ugly). Our first venture into S3 was great, we sat by the fire had some cocktails and had superior service. We returned the following evening after a great night out to our hotel (Hilton Beach Resort) who does not own or operate this restaurant. The fire pits were closed due to an earlier squall around lunch time, 8 hours before (not sure why they were closed) so we went in to the restaurant area walked past to the bar area and found a hightop table for 8. The bar tender immediately looked over and said your not getting served, followed by a young lady who told us we could not sit here because we were not seated by the host. Overall bad impression and the situation could had been handled much more professionally. Our entire party of 8 stood up and said we’ll just go somewhere else the manager came to the front as we were leaving and the young lady who treated us with such indignation said she didn’t say we had to leave. I told her we’re in the hospitality business and I am sorry but that could have been handled with so much more tact and hospitality. Extremely Rude behavior and with my associates I was with they missed a huge opportunity for a sale and a tip. Listen I know people get tired and this restaurant has high marks overall, but being rude and not being solution focused rather then problem focused cost them a good sale and opportunity for a great gratuity.

The wife and I just ate here for lunch. We had grilled octopus, a veggie roll and a rainbow roll. The octopus was cooked well, and not rubbery at all, but the taste was a bit muddy. The bean salad beneath it moderated it a bit, but still. The fish in the rainbow roll was nice, but the chef who cut the roll has to work on his knife skills, as the pieces varied from nearly an inch to less than half, and the cuts didn’t go all the way through the roll.
