Anniversary Dinner. We had a terrific meal. Service was great. Muriel was our waitress. So friendly. There was a 2 for 1 entree special that night which made the price really quite good. The list of specials was impressive but we ended up selecting from the regular menu. We started with two appetizers: foie gras and brie with apples in puff pastry. Definitely could have just shared one… but we inhaled both with a smile. A martini and a Spanish red wine accompanied our meal. French onion soup… rich, thick with onions topped with crusty bread circle and melted cheese. Yum. Entres were rack of lamb with a raspberry demiglass and medallions of beef with brie. Both were prepared to the right temperature and were excellent. We finished off the meal by sharing a creme brulee and cappuccino.
We have been there twice. Food is excellent & menu is varied. Service depends on who you have as your wait person.?the second time we went, service was lovely & efficient!
Lovely ambience. The duck breast was very good. The pistachio crusted Brie was a bit disappointing. The wine and service were both good. We go there often.
Nightmare!. I will never go to this restaurant again and will do everything I can to discourage others from going. I bought a $25 Groupon for Sunday Brunch for 2 with a pitcher of mimosas. When we arrived, we were given the regular menu. I had not told them yet that I had a Groupon. We had a chance to look at the menu and decide that we would have eggs benedict and salmon eggs benedict. The prices for those were $9.50 and $12.00. Also, the mimosas are free for Sunday Brunch anyway, so there wouldn’t have been a charge for that at all. When the waitress arrived, I showed her the Groupon. She quickly took the menus away and said that there was a special menu for Groupon customers. It was a sheet of paper with essentially the same items as the menu, but this one didn’t have prices on it.When the food arrived, the portions were very small. There was no problem with teh food itself, just the portion sizes. The real shock was when the bill arrived. It said $54, which was taken off from the Groupon. The meal only amounted to $21.50, which it wasn’t even worth in any way. How they could say they would have charged $54 for what we got was outrageous. Not only was it not worth it, it wasn’t on the menu for those prices. ALSO, on the bill was a charge for 18% gratuity on the $54. They actually expected me to pay that. The whole experience was so outlandish, I can’t even tell you how angry I am about the deceit.
Nice romantic evening. Not first visit but went on Groupon and the experience was not typical of French restaurant on Las Olas Boulveard. Server Richard went out of his way to explain the 4-course dishes on the Groupon menu and all were of the same quality as the regular menu. Butternut soup and Beef Bourguignon were very good. Rush of guests at 7PM and kitchen was backed up but we were fine and he took care of us – just as a restauranteur would do in Europe in similar conditions. Will definitely return often.
Very good food. The tip is automatically included in the check….rip off. I won’t be returning. Like service.
I took my out of town guests to Sage last night. I have had many excellent means there! Last night was a total disappointment! Service was up to par but the food was average to say the least! No presentation, just lots of mediocre food piled on the plate! I orderd the Cornish Game Hen and received a chicken! When I questioned it, they said it was their version on a Cornish Game Hen and then offered a free desert to make up for it! Overall the meal was a disappointment to myself and my guests!
