An amazing Sunday night dinner. The service, ambiance and especially the food. Fantastic!!! Huge portions of pasta were incredible and we could see and smell how wonderful the mussels were at the table nearby. We ordered dessert and coffee even though we were stuffed because everything else was so great and were not disappointed. The Flourless White Chocolate Cake with Caramel Sauce topped with Icecream was delightful. If only I lived closer, I would be a regular.
While on a river cruise in downtown Fort Lauderdale, we decided to have dinner at Timpanos. We have been to the Timpano’s in Tampa, enjoyed that experience and thought we would give the Fort Lauderdale location a try. We attemped to make a reservation on OpenTable and saw that they were booked until 8:30 p.m. We walked in at 6:30 p.m. and found many open non_reservable tables at the bar. Gabby was our waitress throughout the evening and we had an enjoyable time. We had their uniquely prepared mussels paired with a split of Prosecco…fantastic! We shared a Caesar salad, which was lightly dressed. We then shared an 8 ounce filet cooked perfectly to temperature at medium rare with a moderate char on the outside. The broccolini were still firm and slightly crisp/crunchy. We shared a bottle of Stags Leap Aretmis Cabernet Sauvignon over dinner…Big, full bodied with soft tannins that went well with the steak. For dessert we split their chocolate mousse cake, served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream loaded with chunks of fudge-like chocolate. It was delicious! All in all, a very good dining experience.

The drinks and bartender service were great. Everything we saw being served to customers around us looked great too. Unfortunately all our remaining dining in FLL is already planned but Timpano is already on my list for our next trip. Addendum – We made it back here for lunch on the way to the airport. We shared the four cheese flatbread again and it did not disappoint. My wife had the shrimp fra diabolo and I had the pasta bolognese. Both were appropriately sized luncheon entrees that were rich in flavor and perfectly prepared. Based on our lunch I am revising my rating upward.I am glad we were able to get back
